You will learn through a combination of lectures, practicals, seminars and tutorials and private study. Extra help outside of class time may be available in Study Clinics by appointment. You are also actively encouraged to make use of the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) site where you can find materials to supplement your class learning. The subject modules are assessed through a mixture of written assignments, portfolios, end of unit tests and exams. The Access to HE diploma will enable you to progress onto several different degrees and diplomas in Higher Education. Progression is dependent on succeeding in a combination of subjects, which are acceptable to university admissions tutors. Students on this pathway have progressed onto a wide range of degree courses including; Sociology, English and Social Care.
