I was able to lead complex, consultancy-style projects (like my work on Singapore Heat Stress policies) that felt like real professional work, not just coursework. The resources in the Marine Building and library are top-tier for anyone willing to push themselves. Plymouth offers a rare balance: it challenges you intellectually to reach distinction levels, but supports you personally when life gets hard. Highly recommended for students who want resilience alongside their degree.

The best aspect of my university experience has been the supportive learning environment and access to diverse academic and professional opportunities. The teaching staff are approachable and knowledgeable, and the university provides useful resources that help students develop both academically and professionally. Studying in a diverse community has also helped me grow in confidence and cultural awareness. The most challenging aspect has been balancing academic responsibilities with part-time work and managing living costs, especially as an international student. Very quiet, lots of areas to study and lecture halls are large and comfortable. I would like there to be more activity based societies and for the society website to be updated quicker because new ones have trouble being added and there are old ones that have closed one or two years ago

Great that the library is 24/7 and there are other areas to study in apart from it but its a little annoying to have kids studying for their GCSEs and A levels running around and being loud and disruptive, especially in quiet areas.
