Durham is a beautiful city and university with great social opportunities. The traditions are very strong at this school. It feels today like how Oxford and Cambridge were twenty years ago. Sometimes administration can be a challenge, many people have difficulty in knowing how to pay tuition and the university is slow to respond to emails. Also, there are far too many international students and just students in general. The university’s expansion plans are causing a drop in the school’s national and international rankings and causing the university to be in danger of losing its character.

Great buildings and location with great transport links to major cities. Being taught by people who are the best in that field and being able to contribute to their research at an early time in your studies. The tutorial system with very few people in classes making learning much more interactive.

Great place to study; staff is awesome and courses are engaging. As for improvement, better health services, especially for mental health. Some of the underlying things are not what they seem: i.e. lecturers have to strike every semester just to get paid and the school can be too focused on its reputation to see the individual and their needs.

I am someone who struggled in school and college and was apprehensive to attend university. From the first day at Moorlands, I felt accepted and supported. I was offered one-one support for my learning difficulty and follow up support on essays. The lecturers are accessible and extremely helpful. The lectures were engaging and challenging. I have enjoyed my time at Moorlands and am still shocked that I was able to not only complete the programme but come away with a greater knowledge and understanding of Applied Theology. The placement element of the programme allowed me to gain fantastic experience in the workplace.

It’s a very cozy campus which makes studying in it feel comforting. There’s a nice vibe to the campus. Only downside is the lack of space around campus in the library and students union, making it difficult to find a seat.

It's really nice to have so many places to study and there's plenty of financial help and budget-friendly food on campus. Lecturers are usually helpful and some really encourage you to take advantage of office hours. Exeter is hilly but it keeps me fit so as long as you avoid cardiac hill you should be fine. Student support is genuinely insane in the best way! There is so much support academically, professionally and emotionally. I can't think of anything more they could possibly provide to improve this. If you need anything at all, there is always somewhere you can be directed to and it's always so helpful. Campus looks cool, I like that the forum looks like a giant greenhouse. The guild is quite poor at handling issues. I have heard about a lack of consideration or care about societies and they're often difficult to communicate with. I had to raise an emergency issue regarding the well-being of another student (and my own) and didn't hear a response from them until two weeks later...I found that extremely poor. However, they do take time to interact with students and are constantly looking for ways to improve and improve respect that.
