It is a very collaborative and social university, with a nice campus. Some parts of campus are outdated and would benefit from being refurbished however the quality of delivery of my course has been very good. It is a leading sports university so it has been great to be involved in this environment. There are several places to study across campus whether that is collaboratively or individually, which makes it easy to get on with work.

So far, this University has treated me incredibly well. The staff have been amazing and each accommodation is in a safe place, even off campus. I’d definitely say that if you prefer a quiet place but still want a city, come here. It’s one of the calmest places I’ve ever lived and it has around 300 coffee shops so you’ll always have a place to study. Just be mindful of the busses, I lived in Stockbridge for the first semester and they were irregular. Either they don’t come on time or they don’t come at all, specifically to South Bank (so you’ll have to walk to Westgate Leisure Centre) but if it’s nice out, the walk through town is a lot better.

The facilities provided by the university, the libraries cafes and the mode of study used is exceptional. I wouldn't say there's any worst aspect of the University! But probably some more Indian food can be added to the canteen's menu? Hahah.

Leeds Arts Univerity is small in size, meaning there are few noteworthy Student Unions in comparison to UoL, but does feel welcoming and safe. The university's student support is freindly and helpful from what I experienced; LAU is a very inclusive organisation and does strive to support students with a variety of services available. The campus is a little dull looking, with few spaces looking vibrant in contrast to the many white/grey hallways. I was able to use the Film/Photography course's cameras as a Music student, however the university's facilities seem somewhat limited as a whole, with spaces and equipment scarce close to submission time.

Arts university plymouth is a great university with amazing facilities and opportunities to learn whatever you like with workshops, i do with the student union was more established and maybe hosted more events inside and outside the university, the campus is very modern but some parts are a little dated but not necessarily in a bad way. student life is good were given the opportunity to mix with other courses which is cool but again just wish there was more events that were maybe more appealing to people to attend.

first of all the view is very refreshing where students can study with the view of canary wharf and central London. not only that the universities has a lot of facilities for every students. the staff are very good. the environment is very nice and clean. the classes are clean and well arranged. the food in the canteen is healthy and good. overall the place is too good for me its only been 5 months I have been studying here and it starts to feel like I'm home and I don't want to leave the place when I come here.

At the University of Southampton it’s the student body and community who makes it. The community is unreal and (I think) everyone feels part of it and that they belong. I would say the Students’ Union could actually listen to students more as they feel so far removed from the body they’re meant to represent

I wish we had more access to facilities for the others degrees. I wish graphic design had more space for equipment. I wish the printer in the B block belonged to graphic design we are the only ones who use it but when it runs out of paper it doesn’t get filled. I wish we had access to the facilities at the other colleges. I wish someone explained the American education system and classes structure to be before I went on exchange to FIT NYC so I could choose my classes with more certainty. But love UAL! Good tutors and industry links.

The university cares about their students. There are people constantly coming in to talk to the students about the work-life balance, how to handle stress, how to tackle assignments. Communication-wise, when I need certain documentation etc, it can be difficult to explain what I may need. So instead of just doing their job, they should try and help find a solution and make sure we get what we need, because it’s not as simple to get access to these documents. (And maybe give students iPads)

They host lots of fun events and competitions for the students to engage in. It’s a very relaxed environment. The tutors can be unreliable at times especially in my third year sometimes we only have two mornings a week timetabled to talk to them which they consistently miss. Still better than many unis where you can be waiting months to talk to your tutor

Studying textile design is ideal if you love using colour, patterns, drawing and textures to create things. During a textile design course, you’ll discover how to put your designs into action by applying them to interiors, clothing, ceramics, accessories, public spaces, and more, as you explore some of the key themes in textile design like manufacturing and sustainability. You’ll gain design-specific skills as you learn how to master materials, likely using both traditional and modern techniques. Through your course you may have access to specialist facilities like screen printing equipment, dye labs, production facilities, fabric stores and CAD technology. You may also get the chance to work on live client briefs and do internships or placements, giving you practical experience. Graduates will be able to look for jobs in the fashion and textiles industries in roles like fashion designer, textile designer, patternmaker and stylist.
