At a PGR level, it is more autonomous, but it is still quite a cohesive experience if you choose to engage. The uni does well for the course, there is a direct connection to industry and affinity towards making it practical. The student support could be enhanced especially at a PGR level. It's less cohort and needs more attention at a more unit-level, which I imagine is difficult to engage. It is a halfway house between student and staff, so a bit more attention to either side (or preferably both) would really enhance the experience.

People can be rude and sometimes struggle to get on with someone, or as someone who doesn't drink struggle to fit in. I love the student support network because they're so helpful and I have a mentor and DLA.

The university academics are great and also they have so many support facilities for students. The worst part is if you don't live in London then you need to commute from a long distance and also Ref food isn't tasteful.

Best aspect: amazing facilities, highly professional tutors and staffs, everyone seems to have good heads on their shoulders. High teaching standard and it's nice meeting people from other cultural settlements. Worst aspect: more of a recommendation, extracurricular activities to establish a better inculcation, especially for foreign students. For instance, city tour for foreign students, debates, sports etc, this will facilitate better friendship between students

The focused student support is what makes it stand out. Because in the university there are not a lot of students and attention of the professor doesnt get divided. You can get personalised guidance and this thing is gold to grab more and more opportunities in your career.

I was thinking about this when I attended the scripture union today, this school is so welcoming and informative. At the university where I did my undergrad they didn’t show us around campus , have as many clubs as this , were inclusive, overall cared about the student and their mental state. I like the fact that things are acceptable and easy to fine , the fact that people are just extremely friendly . Being an international student doesnt feel like I am one here , it’s like I have been part of the community already

Marjon has a really strong community feel, and its smaller size is a big part of that. There’s a genuine mix of ages and interests, which comes through in the range of activities and spaces available — the Students’ Union, chapel, theatre, and sports centre are all close together and easy to access. If anything could improve, it would be greater financial support at a wider level (e.g., government funding), so the university could invest in hiring more staff and strengthening provision further.
