The campus is very green and is just a beautiful place to study and work. There is a really good balance between socialising and work, I’m able to balance playing sport and meeting up with friends with my studies, not having to compromise on much. The lecturers are very helpful and they generally explain things well, although the pastoral and careers support through our tutors could be improved. Generally I am very glad I chose to study here in Nottingham, and would recommend it to anyone looking to achieve highly in both their career and at the same time be able to have a thriving social life and overall good work life balance.

I’m a Harper&Keele vet student based on the Harper Adams campus. I love being based at harper not only due to the strong sense of farming community but also due to the great social life. One of the best parts about Harper is the size and location of the campus, although small, the campus is set among the harper farm in the middle of the countryside which makes it feel safe and comforting. Die to the small size you feel as though you know everyone around campus. The social life is also great both in the SU and in newportugal (Newport). Both nights feel safe as it is only ever the harper university students out on those days. The actual facilities of the Vet school are good as it it a fairly new course and hence there is a new building specifically built for the vet school on both campuses. The worst parts about the uni, I would say, is travelling from harper to keele. Although you only have to do this 4 days a month it does seem rather pointless when both campuses have all of the facilities required.

Best experience has to be Keele hall it’s beautiful in all seasons to go to especially in summer there’s no other uni that can offer that For nursing the teaching facilities are great theirs no other facilities you would need to study The student union are always their with support so you will never feel on your own Worst probably the night life just wish their was less nights out but better produced maybe that would attract more people Also I have seen the graduations that take place in January and their not as well produced as the summer ones which is a shame makes us feel a little bit under appreciated

The most usual career path to pursue with a surgery degree is that of a surgeon. All surgeons must first qualify as doctors, so students will have a basic medical degree which includes the principles of medicine and surgery. Training encompasses several years of study which includes surgical skills practise, advanced physiology and pharmacology, assessment and methods of patients care, and professional behaviour and leadership skills. Surgeons have a critical role in healthcare, performing both lifesaving operations and elective procedures to enhance patients' quality of life, and it’s typical that a student specialises in a particular field of surgical practise in the course of becoming qualified.
