One of the things I love about my University is the accessibility of different resources and how you can get everything you need within a 10 to 20-minute walk. While it does rain quite often, I also love the climate and the landscape especially in my accommodation, which overlooks a cute little golf course. One of the things I am not very fond of, personally is the fact that the weather can make me feel low and depressed easily which has been a common occurrence, but that too is not so much a University thing as it is personal and geographical. To be frank, I do not have much to complain, if at all, about my time here in Bangor University.

All the facilites are in a really good place making study easy, however i think it would be even better if it was allowed to stay in some builing to work at night. Even if the Catalyst is open 24/7, it can get crowded at night during exam season and it would help if builing such as the Creative Edge can be open to student after 8pm even if they dont usually have class in the builing.

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

Additionally, the campus offers an international-standard sports arena, 3G pitches, and a cricket pavilion and pitch. The University of Gloucestershire fosters a diverse student community where individuals from various backgrounds learn together while embracing university life. The Chapel at Francis Close Hall offers a tranquil space for reflection, providing mental and emotional support for students seeking peace amidst their academic journey. A potential area for improvement would be the provision of short-term university accommodation for students in need, particularly at the postgraduate level. Given the unique challenges faced by these students—such as research commitments, placements, or unforeseen personal circumstances—offering flexible housing options would greatly enhance their academic experience and overall well-being. This initiative would reflect the university's commitment to student support, ensuring that all scholars have access to a stable and conducive living environment during critical phases of their studies.
