Police Services degrees in Northern England

The university is really well-located and I love the student support. Things that could definitely improve is offering student halls - this would enhance student life 100%. I wish we could have more contact with the student union representatives.

Teesside University is honestly a good place to study, especially if you’re doing something practical like engineering. The lecturers are approachable and actually try to help rather than just reading off slides. The course structure makes sense and there’s a good balance between theory and hands on work. The campus is easy to get around and the facilities are modern, especially the labs and library. There are plenty of study spaces and resources which help a lot during coursework and exams. Student support is decent too, particularly for international students and people coming through foundation routes.

My best aspects of experience has to be making friends from different countries. I like the fact that the school is very diverse and also the mode of teaching delivery is good, engaging and interesting. I don’t think I really have experienced anything negative so far.

The labs on level 8 are really really good facilities lots of opportunities to improve in lab skills, the worst aspects are the sports halls at city and colligiate for korfball training they just aren’t big enough

Best experience is the facilities, and the student centre. Worst experience? I have two: the accommodation office and the actual course. During summer break, I am having a lot of problems trying to find somewhere to stay until September 6th, and they have offered me an extension in the same building where I currently am - on the top floor, and I am disabled, which they know. They five hundred quid for me to stay there for just six weeks - disgusting. Second - the course. I was really enjoying it until the summer placement (Bone Boot Camp). The mornings were fine, as we were talking about the skeleton - I want to go into bioarchaeology and osteoarchaeology when - or if - I graduate. There were too much emphasis on social media, or a 'Social Media Takeover' as it's called. ! And I thought archaeology and anthropology were sciences, not to be taken lightly, but this makes it seem like a joke, and a bad one, at that. It's clear this course is engineered to appeal to much younger students, and not someone nearly 50, as I am. I am good with technology, but I don't think social media should be part of this course, or career. If I wanted to be an influencer, I would be putting dumb videos on YouTube or TikTok. I just can't take it seriously anymore, and all this stress of what's happening right now? I am really thinking about dropping out, because it's not worth the aggravation. I gave up my home, and my job to do this, and it was obviously a sacrifice that I shouldn't have made. UCLAN is great if you're under 35. If not, you're screwed

I love the well integrated teaching modules aligning with the current employability trend and measures in the organisational world. However. the faculty members can be improved with lecturers on the same array of discipline

The best part of my Uni experience is the bunch of support I received as a student from both members of staff and fellow colleagues, it made my journey seamless so far. I’d like mobile signals within some places in the school to be improved to accommodate better mobile services.

Best aspect: amazing facilities, highly professional tutors and staffs, everyone seems to have good heads on their shoulders. High teaching standard and it's nice meeting people from other cultural settlements. Worst aspect: more of a recommendation, extracurricular activities to establish a better inculcation, especially for foreign students. For instance, city tour for foreign students, debates, sports etc, this will facilitate better friendship between students
