For someone who has to live for the first time away from their family, that too in a new country. Bangor really welcomed me with open arms. From International Student Staff to the fraternity, everyone is so sweet and helpful. I love that they make you feel at home. Even if you’ve the slightest doubt , they are there to help you with it. I’m happy that I’m surrounded by such great people.

Best experience has been the Freshers Fayre and the little community fairs at the Llandaff Campus worst experience would be using the gender neutral toilets, the hygiene of the toilets has been absolutely appalling. Although I love the initiative and open mindedness of the toilets, their upkeep has been lacking to a large degree.

Great teaching, student support, night life and pub scene. Beach very close and always easy to get away from the city to go for a walk etc. good sports but lacking high level. SU is fine but inconsistent

What students say about physics

The worst aspect is that they are unorganised. Any of their departments are aware of what they need to actually do. They were sending me from one to another. There were many disinformation regarding exams. At the induction day I have been told I will be able to pick career pathway on my course in 3rd year. Now from nowhere I noticed - when I checked modules for my next year - that it is changed. I needed to find out myself that they have changed it and it’s not available anymore. Lack of feedback on assignments in moodle.

The SU and student life were probably the weakest parts of my university experience, but this is likely in part due to the small size of Aberystwyth. There were a range of societies but many stopped and restarted at various points. The campus has a great atmosphere and is just the right size!

Uni experience overall is great and enjoy my lectures and seminar where I feel included and understand everything I just don’t like the fact that I have to walk around to one building to another for my classes
