Studying pharmacy

Pharmacology and pharmacy degrees primarily teach you how drugs and medicines interact with people’s bodies. Pharmacists play an important role in protecting health and wellbeing. On a pharmacy degree, you’ll cover topics including immunology, clinical drug development, cellular and molecular biology and toxins and toxicity. You’ll also learn how different drugs interact with each other. Most degrees in pharmacy will be accredited with the Royal Society of Biology or the Royal Society of Chemistry. After graduating, you may work as a pharmacist dispensing medicine, a clinical researcher, or a drug discovery consultant.
