Chichester is a safe city/town. It’s got a really nice atmosphere to it but not the best night life. The university could do with more communication between courses, especially those in joint routes.

I find the location, community and campus feel very peaceful and relaxing, and the education provided is good quality and varied. There could be more support for students who struggle to fit in with the student body, e.g., more help and encouragement to join societies or opportunities to socialise with peers.

The best parts about this university is the distance between each campus, support available for academics and personal situations, the friendliness of the tutors and staff because they want to help. The worst parts about this university is the university bus as it is not very reliable as it comes every 40 minutes. To improve the bus service, there can be more buses available.

Campus life is engaging and fun if you're active; lots of choices of sports and social clubs. 3sixty club in campus is also one of best student clubbing experience I've had in the UK. Library is chic and comfortable with sufficient study spaces and books / online resource. Course content is interesting and inspiring but coursework is indeed demanding (if you are a good and hardworking student). Tutoring hours is not quite enough and most of the time you are expected to guide yourself through module content and problem solving. Disabilities support is available and of easy access but they could be reluctant to provided further assistance to students suffering from severe conditions or sudden accidents, and this could impact your studies to a large degree. However, if you are a healthy student with normal social life, it is not that difficult to graduate with a 2:1 or 1st with a bit of hard work whilst enjoying uni life.

All staff in university is eager to help you with any kind of questions or problems. At lectures teachers are really engaging and supportive. You never notice how quick time flies during lectures. Especially, before any assignments you are given every detail about it, so you are well prepared and not scared at all. Birkbeck suggests a lot of opportunities for busy social life, where you can meet lots of enthusiastic people, and opportunities for future career such as additional workshops, professional guests, etc. I love being a part of this community!

The campus is absolutely gorgeous! A wonderful mix of old and new, castles and modern buildings. Reserving rooms encourages students to get out of their rooms and study anywhere on campus, from the top of the castle tower, to the communal "pods" at Commons. The Student Union building has a bar and a small shop, and activities going on almost every day. Karaoke every other Saturday is one of my favourites. Close enough to the city of Bath for easy access, while still having the feeling of a university town. Lots of student discounts and student bars/clubs in town, as the University of Bath is also nearby. Interesting classes, lovely lecturers and guest lecturers, and proper assessments. Few, if not none, tests, allowing for those who do not thrive with simple memorization to show off how they learn. The diversity of students encourages the broadening of your own world view. A wide range of courses, allowing for study into incredibly specific topics. The main issue with the university is the wait time for wellbeing appointments, as it can take up to four months to even get a foot in the door. This means that if you do need help, it is very difficult to achieve. Also, while it isn't the university's fault, it is important to know that the First Bus system is not very reliable, so if you have a job in town, it is quite nerve-wracking.

Here are some top tips for writing comments (e.g., feedback, suggestions, or engagement posts) for the University of Greenwich Student Union (SU) — whether you’re submitting them in surveys, social media, meetings, or course rep discussions. --- 1. Be Specific Avoid vague comments like “The SU needs to improve.” Better: “The SU could offer more evening events for commuting students who can’t stay late on weekdays.” --- 2. Be Constructive If you’re pointing out a problem, suggest a possible solution. Example: “It’s hard to find out about SU events — maybe a weekly Instagram story or WhatsApp update could help.” --- 3. Focus on Student Experience Frame your comments around what benefits students most: inclusion, affordability, opportunities, wellbeing, etc. “More affordable food options in SU cafés would really help students on a tight budget.” --- 4. Highlight What’s Working Too Positive feedback matters — it shows appreciation and guides the SU to keep doing good things. “The Welcome Fair was really well-organized — more events like that would be great throughout the year!” --- 5. Represent a Range of Voices Try to think beyond your own needs — consider different groups (international, mature, commuter, part-time, etc.). “Could the SU organize daytime social events for students who commute and can’t attend evening activities?” --- 6. Keep It Timely Comment soon after an issue or event so it’s relevant and actionable. “The careers fair last week was helpful — would love a similar event focusing on creative industries next time.” --- 7. Be Respectful and Professional Even if you’re frustrated, keep your tone polite — it helps your comment be taken seriously. “I was disappointed that the library café closed early — could opening hours be extended during exam season?” --- 8. Link to SU Goals The SU focuses on things like student voice, community, equality, and wellbeing. Connect your comment to these. “It’d be great if the SU hosted more mental health drop-ins during stressful assessment periods.” --- 9. Engage Regularly Don’t just comment once — stay involved through forums, polls, or volunteering. “I joined the SU’s environmental working group — could we get updates on the recycling initiative’s progress?” --- 10. Keep It Actionable The best comments lead to a clear next step or idea the SU can implement. “Could the SU introduce a suggestion box or online form for quick anonymous student feedback?” --- Would you like me to tailor these tips for a specific purpose — for example: SU feedback survey Online comment section (social media or forum) Course rep meeting Student council or board feedback That way I can adapt the examples and tone to match the setting.
