Studying nutrition

A nutrition degree is focused on food and drink, and how these can affect bodies and health. You’ll study a mix of human anatomy and microbiology of food to learn how different foods interact with our bodies. You’ll learn about topics such as cell biology, clinical nutrition, food product development and public health nutrition. Most courses will also give you the chance to engage in some practical lab-based work, so you’ll learn how to write lab reports and gain practical skills. When you graduate, you’ll have a wide range of roles available to you including personal trainer, nutrition writer, product developer and lifestyle consultant.
