I have overall enjoyed my experience at this university. I have made some close friends on my course that I enjoy studying with as well as doing things outside of university. They also have an amazing range of societies with a society for just about anything you can imagine. It would be difficult to not find at least one society you would enjoy being a part of. Doing a subject like law, I think it is important to have things to do outside of academics. However, one thing that I think could be improved is one or two seminar leaders are not super helpful when it comes to explaining how the exams work or what the examiners will be looking for. Yes, they teach us the content, but that is not always good enough.

I love being able to use the facilities and having access to all the tech required for my course specifically. The kit store is great, and having areas where I can go and study with everything I need is beneficial to my learning. I personally think the societies at Ravensbourne could be largely improved. It feels very much like an after thought, and the engagement with them don’t appear to exist. I think only a few societies are big, but compared to some other universities, I wish there was more hype and engagement for people to make societies, join them and connect. That’s my biggest flaw.

I think Buckinghamshire university is perfect for international students. This university offers so many facilities and student union support is great. The best part is teachers and lecturers are very nice and considerate. They keep me motivated and encouraged while doing the assignments and through every classes. So far I've had a great experience and always happy at uni. One thing I got little pressure is about the fee as I'm facing financial problems.

There have been difficulties with communication from certain faculties to the students, but there have also been some lecturers who have been extremely supportive who have helped me with both educational and mental issues I have had, especially in the third year.

The facilities, from that which I've experienced, seem well-kept and up to date, especially in the production and DJ department. Though, as a musician, certain areas within the tech and instruments could be more well-kept or up to date, however the tech are always extremely helpful when there's any technical issues. Nonetheless, they haven't always been able to solve issues due to faulty hardware. The location is possibly one of the best for London's music scene. Not just that, it provides short journeys to other areas of London day and night life, making it great for students new to the city or looking to socialise outside of the uni. Student support has, personally, been pretty good. When it comes to more general and relevant issues either in one's personal life, student life, or career, staff respond within fair times and with genuine care. When it comes to more complicated issues, however, such as personal troubles between students in the classroom, I feel they could be more quick, make active rather than passive decisions, and strict with their feedback towards the actions they disagree with from either parties. The Campus is distinct, homey, and reflects the environment well. It feels not only personalised to music-fans (which the students of course pretty much all are), but it's also well-kept, modern, and unique to the university. Student life, I think, isn't really tailored to people like me. It's very career-oriented. Everything feels like business lingers behind it, and, ultimately, it often feels more like a work environment than a university. This is likely to the advantage of people in their mid 20s or later years, which the majority of the students seem to be, but to me, at 20, it feels like too much of a shift to adult-life. In my previous university, the student life felt extremely inclusive, relaxed, and united. Here, it feels much more difficult to find personal connections with people just for the sake of it, which has affected my mental health so an extent, I believe, as I don't know many people in London outside of the university. The Students' Union I am personally not very well-informed on.

There’s lots of great opportunities outside of the course you’re studying, chances to learn new things you might not within your chosen course. The organisation of the uni could be improved, more staff to student ratio - I’m missing that close student teacher relationship.

I attend UOG Francis Close Hall campus and it's so incredibly inspiring. It's a great oldy-worldy historical site and it was really the deal-breaker for me choosing UOG; although my course mates and I were severely let down when we were told we would have to move to Oxstalls campus in Gloucester... we managed to get the union involved but only managed to get it pushed back a year for us, all new students in September for social science will be in Oxstalls and won't get to experience the beauty of FCH. Such a shame. Despite this, the facilities are amazing, staff are equipped with great knowledge and are all incredibly friendly. All students are friendly and light-minded, it's a great environment to study in and socialise. I commute so I cannot speak on the social side of student accommodation and/or going out, but as a commuter it meets all my needs! I really recommend studying here, the lecturers know what they're talking about, and are amazing at illustrating theories and concepts in ways that make sense.

I have really enjoyed the friends I have made and the opportunities for joining clubs, societies and activities around campus and the city. I live in Stockbridge, and think that benches in the middle square would be helpful as sometimes you would like to get out of the flat, but don’t want to have to walk all the way to town, or the parks. Especially now that the weather is nicer, I think it would be beneficial.

My initial reasons for joining were simple. I was drawn to the community; on my open day, I saw a diverse range of people and felt it was a place where the average person from a working-class background could feel comfortable and part of something. I also loved the university's layout. It's tremendously large, with a charming little interior garden and various communal spaces. At times, it felt almost too big, but over the years, I turned finding its many hidden corners into a personal game. And let's not forget the labs—incredibly huge and spacious, yet still cozy. I remember late winter afternoons, running a routine reaction while staring out the massive windows. In those moments, everything felt tranquil and perfectly in place. However, that was just the beginning. The real reason the undergraduate Chemistry program at London Met is so great is the academic staff. Their dedication, the time they invest, and the lengths to which they will go to help you are absolutely unparalleled. You aren't just a number or another face; you are someone they look after. They share every opportunity with you—bursaries, placements, training, and so on—constantly pushing you in the right direction and enabling you to collect achievements throughout the short journey of your BSc. It isn't always easy; there will be moments of stress, anxiety, and insecurity, but remember that everyone is there to help you succeed.

I'm an optometry student entering my third year in September 2024. The lecturers are very nice and supportive; however, the optometry students in Group C are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lack any sort of manners. Many of them speak poorly of you if you fall behind or are slow in your routine, and they refuse to collaborate despite knowing that practice is essential for skill improvement.
