I’m really enjoying my time at NTU! The academic environment is fantastic—lecturers are passionate about their subjects, and the courses are engaging and well-structured. There’s plenty of support available, whether it’s academic help, career advice, or mental health services. The social side is also a huge plus! There are so many societies, sports teams, and events that make it easy to meet new people and get involved. The campus itself is a great place to study, with modern facilities, good libraries, and plenty of study spaces.

Derby University is a decent place to study and have lots of good facilities for engineering including lots of labs and a workshop which has lots of lathes, drills, laser cutters, water cutters, 3D printers and more. They also have some good sports facilities including a giant sports hall and a climbing wall, as well as a great gym membership deal that was really useful for me as a student. The night life is also pretty good as there are loads of pubs and clubs just a short walk away and also really good laye night train and bus links to other places like Nottingham which also has a great nightlife.
