One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the diversity and welcoming atmosphere. As an international student, that sense of inclusion really matters. The campus is modern, the accommodation is convenient, and it’s easy to meet people from different backgrounds. I also appreciate that lecturers are approachable and the teaching feels practical and relevant to real careers. The most challenging part for me was definitely information overload at the beginning. There were a lot of emails, updates, platforms, and systems to understand all at once, which honestly made me feel anxious at first. However, once you learn how everything works and organize what’s important, it becomes much more manageable. Overall, it is a supportive environment where you can grow academically and personally, it just takes a little time to adjust.

Great aspect is the modern facilities and learning environment. The campus is well-equipped with up-to-date labs and software resources, which is especially valuable for engineering students. The university also provides good academic support services and career guidance, helping students improve employability. Meanwhile, for something to improve the best will be expanding networking opportunities with more industry professionals and increasing internship connections would further enhance our careers.

Public transport links around the campus are excellent, which makes commuting simple and convenient. The Students’ Union plays an important role in making campus life enjoyable. From cultural celebrations to academic workshops and sports activities, the SU offers something for everyone. It also supports student welfare and actively listens to student concerns. While my experience has been largely positive, there are a few areas that could be improved to make the university experience even better. Administrative processes, such as timetabling or enrollment updates, can sometimes be slow or unclear. Improved communication and faster responses would make things easier for students, especially during busy periods like the start of term. Additionally, although the accommodations are comfortable and close to campus, they can be quite expensive because of the London location. More affordable housing options would be very helpful for students on a tight budget. Lastly, while LSBU already hosts a number of events, increasing the number of career-oriented workshops, industry meetups, and networking sessions would make a big difference. These events help students make valuable connections and understand the professional world more deeply. Overall, London South Bank University offers a strong combination of academic support, practical teaching, modern facilities, and an excellent central London location. The friendly atmosphere, diversity, and active student life create a positive and motivating environment for learning. With a few improvements in communication and affordability, the university could provide an even better experience. Despite those small areas for development, LSBU remains a great place to study, grow, and prepare for future opportunities

Times have been tough for all students around the world with covid these days. I have moved to England initially to travel and be closer to family in Poland. Instead I have stranded myself away from family and friends on an island. All is well though because I am finding support networks at my uni and through meeting new friends. I really hope classes at school will continue next year, online teaching has not been the most exciting or engaging.
