Mechanical Engineering degrees in All England

Kingston university has a great vibe! All of the tutors and members of staff are very friendly and supportive, even if you’re not on their specific course! I’ve found it easy to make friends, and the location has helped a lot with this! As being an art student, I’ve been able to frequently visit galleries in London by short train journey - whilst also being able to experience the serene and quiet nature surrounding Kingston and Richmond. I really love that art school and all of the different workshops there are - however the one improvement would be to have our own personal spaces on the course (somewhere we can leave our artwork/ a space to make our own)! It’s been a bit of a struggle have to haul all of my art projects from the uni to my apartment and back - especially during the winter months when it’s rainy and cold, and I know some many other students have found issues with this too. Other than that though, I think the uni is great!

The university often hold different types of activities for students to participate, which allows students to get together and meet more new friends. Also, it is convenient to have a Costcutter on campus and a LIdl within a 10 min walking distance. Meanwhile if student needs help and went to the student hub, it often take a long time for queuing up to seek help.

Chichester is a safe city/town. It’s got a really nice atmosphere to it but not the best night life. The university could do with more communication between courses, especially those in joint routes.

The best aspect for me is the location. I love being so close to Brighton and Stanmer park. There have been times where I have felt I could use with more support/ input from lecturers or tutors this term and I have felt very overwhelmed and burnt out adjusting to the new style of learning. Maybe for the first term students could receive more guidance if they feel necessary?

The campus is peaceful mostly, chill atmosphere and great study spaces. Accomodation is decent on Oxstalls. Some of the organisational aspects of the uni and course hasn't been great and could improve

Teaching staff here are exceptionally kind to students and are willing to go an extra mile to help students' studies, with a variety of adjustment measures available. There are too many people smoking on campus and the university management ought to take care of that.

Being a mature student it has given me a great support system and the staff have been amazing in supporting me giving the fact iv not been in education for a long time i do feel that it is made for young students and not alot of opportunities for mature students to do alot of things

The facilities here are great, especially with the new superlab and large library. the course content is well organised and structured in an online portal, alongside useful materials making finding necessary information easy. the location of the accommodation is great too, with almost all of them being within a five minute walk of one another, right by the city centre and only 20 minutes from the main campus. the location of both feels relatively safe, and the buildings are well maintained and clean. support for students is easy to access and helps with a wide variety of needs. the student life is ok, the city is relatively small so there's only a couple clubs but with the Derbion and events organised by the union there's enough to do.

The staff here are really helpful and supportive. The professors are easy to approach, and if you ever need academic help, they’re happy to assist. There are also great student services available, from career advice to mental health support, so you always feel like you’ve got someone to turn to if needed. One of the best things about Greenwich is the diversity. The university has students from all over the world, and the campus is really inclusive. It’s easy to meet new people, and it creates a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Social spaces on campus are a bit limited. It can feel a bit isolating at times because there aren't many places to just hang out with friends. There could definitely be more areas where students can relax, and it could have more events on campus that bring people together, especially, for 1st year students.
