Studying materials science

Materials science is a broad field of study which offers many opportunities for specialisation and access to a number of career pathways which can include materials engineer, laboratory researcher, quality control specialist, and product developer. Students learn to understand the composition and qualities of the materials that shape our world and develop new and innovative products which can include metals, polymers, composites, fibres, and ceramics.
