Bangor university is a one of the best university in the whole uk. It always offers the best facilities for the student such as accommodation facilities, academic support, enjoyable classes and so on.But the main attraction for me is the natural environment. The mountains and the sea have increased the beauty of the university and there is no crowd here so we can focus on our study. The university could be improved in many ways. Firstly it can start phd programmes for students. Secondly it can rise more subjects so that international student can find many options. Overall my university is great..

I had my Msc in Dental Technology at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and I had a great time. The faculty was ever ready to listen and help navigate me in the right direction. The International Students' office were very prompt in responding to emails and issues. Materials required for my practicals were always sent to me in time. This made me choose them again for my PhD. I am in my first year, and I am enjoying the programme. The graduate Staff are always willing to help with any difficulty or challenge. My supervisors are very helpful and showed so much empathy and understanding when I lost my spouse in December 2025. They moved our meetings to accommodate my emotions. There is support for mental health and other issues. I have not had any issues with any of their services or support, hence I cannot give any advice on what should be improved

It’s a great place to study because the academic environment is supportive, the teaching quality is strong, and there are plenty of opportunities to grow through projects, events, and collaboration with classmates. The campus community also makes it easy to feel included and motivated. It could be improved by streamlining administrative processes, offering clearer communication, and reducing unnecessary bureaucracy. More practical learning opportunities and better support during exam periods would also make a big difference.

They offer Assistance from Careers and Employability Service during our studies and after our graduation. USW Offers 500+ courses with unique & realistic course modules. Moreover USW’s research and teaching are focused on the global challenges. It is situated in an outstanding part of the UK with city life, mountains, coast and precious campuses. There are cultural diversity stunning beaches and breathtaking countryside. They provide facilities like 15-weeks work project opportunity. Dedicated Mac & PC labs with specialist facilities. Always working with the latest technologies & development tools. Calypto lab, with software licenses & support for the Catapult C toolset, sponsored by Calypto Design Systems Inc. Renesas Embedded Systems Lab includes 25 new high-end terminals running advanced tools. Work on industrial case studies and be involved in ‘live’ mini-projects. All these things make University of Southwales different from others and it stand unique in it’s own way.

Best aspects would definitely be the people and the location. By the beach but with safe and lively night life, which in my opinion is important for most undergrad students, also the welsh are lovely and friendly. It depends on the area but overall the city feels extremely safe which was important for me. Some of the buildings on the old campus (singleton) look a bit run-down especially when the sun isn't out so it might be worth them revamping some buildings to make certain parts look less depressing. But again thats only a few, and the walk to campus is lovely especially as theres a massive park/green space right next to campus, with a 2 minute detour taking you right to the beach. Can't say too much on the students' union because it looks good but i havent really engaged with it. They always have some sort of event going on but honestly i havent been to many, so maybe the events could be more engaging so more people including myself would go.

It's a very student orientated city with the university being very integrated in daily life. There are lots of social opportunities with many societies but I think the university should make it easier to learn about how to get involved. Also for my subject I have found it difficult to feel motivated by the teaching staff and I haven't felt compelled to engage as much as I wish I had.

The place is very small which is good because everything is in walking distance and you get a better sense of community while you study. The downside is that it is not as good as when I started in my first year of undergraduate, the student Union and its facilities have lost a lot of the charm that they had originally and its a shame that new students wont have as great of an experience that I had when I joined. Not only this but the town is definitely not as safe as it used to be when I first moved and that is very apparent but that isnt paticularly something that the university can fix.
