Campus life is engaging and fun if you're active; lots of choices of sports and social clubs. 3sixty club in campus is also one of best student clubbing experience I've had in the UK. Library is chic and comfortable with sufficient study spaces and books / online resource. Course content is interesting and inspiring but coursework is indeed demanding (if you are a good and hardworking student). Tutoring hours is not quite enough and most of the time you are expected to guide yourself through module content and problem solving. Disabilities support is available and of easy access but they could be reluctant to provided further assistance to students suffering from severe conditions or sudden accidents, and this could impact your studies to a large degree. However, if you are a healthy student with normal social life, it is not that difficult to graduate with a 2:1 or 1st with a bit of hard work whilst enjoying uni life.

Best aspects are the fact there's facilities like lockers and study spaces to facilitate all your needs improvements would be learning about opportunities like summer placements or edge award earlier in the course

The facilities offered to photography students are industry standard, including colour darkrooms which most universities have got rid of. Derby is a small city, nearby the Peak District. It is easy to escape the city life at any time, but whilst you stay, there are plenty of places to shop, eat, and drink, and Derby promises a good night out. The student support on a course level is evident, with regular catch up meetings, however support from higher up in the uni does seem less evident. They do however have their careers service.
