Couldn’t be happier to have picked SRUC for veterinary nursing! It’s very practical based and really hands on which I love a lot. The lecturers are lovely and in our online (for now) lectures they make sure to try and keep us engaged and give us breaks as they know online learning can be a bit difficult and most of all they try to make it fun! If you’re looking to do veterinary nursing in Scotland I’d definitely recommend SRUC - you might be a bit hesitant at first since it’s out in the countryside and not a city but it’s definitely worth it for the practical learning than you receive on farm etc.

The moment I first entered my university, it genuinely felt like a dream—and it still does! Heriot-Watt Edinburgh is truly the best place to study. The academic environment here is nothing short of inspiring. I've joined so many societies and clubs, and they’ve been incredibly helpful in many ways, but it’s the education that truly stands out. The professors here are not only experienced but are leaders in their fields, bringing cutting-edge knowledge and real-world expertise into the classroom. The curriculum is challenging yet rewarding, and the resources available for learning are exceptional. I feel constantly supported in my academic journey, whether it's through dedicated faculty or the state-of-the-art facilities. I’ve gained so much more than just knowledge; I’ve gained a deeper understanding of my field and am constantly motivated to push myself further. Beyond the academics, the faculty is supportive and caring, and whether it’s the Student Union or the Student Well-being services, I’m in love with all the facilities. I was homesick and overwhelmed, wrapped in a blanket of uncertainty, but the Student Well-being team and my personal tutor have been a great help! All in all, Heriot-Watt offers a holistic academic experience that I couldn’t have asked for more.

I feel the QMU is a very forward thinking university. They are constantly adapting how they deliver classes and the resources that are available to current students and alumni. However as it is a small university there is not the same level of extra curricular activity available and resources avale to student.

I love the city in general. The University's libraries are good. with proper facilities that I can use, such as discussion rooms, computers, printers, even 3D printer! Some buildings look so old but in positive ways, make them look classic and cultured. However, in my own experience, some classrooms are a little bit aged. i mean, like some chairs are feel old, they are sometimes kind of wobbly, and some of them do not have enough leg room. Main library can be crowded when exam days come, but I think that is something that can not be avoided. i think it is good to add some space for classrooms or some like study hubs.
