My time at the University of Gloucestershire, Oxstalls campus, studying for a master’s in Human Resource Management, has shaped my life in lasting ways. From day one, stepping onto campus felt like joining a professional, welcoming community where I wasn’t just a number but I truly belonged. I chose this course because I wanted practical skills for real HR challenges, and the teaching here goes far beyond textbooks. Lecturers share insights from their own industry experiences, making classes dynamic and relevant. Their support has helped me build confidence and bridge the gap between theory and practice. Campus life is genuinely uplifting. The facilities, including well-equipped study spaces and lively common areas, create an environment where you can focus, collaborate, and unwind. What stands out most is how approachable the staff and students are. It’s always easy to find a helping hand, whether you need academic advice, personal support, or just a friendly chat over coffee. This sense of community means that even on tough days, encouragement is always close by. I’ve grown in ways I never expected. Working on assessments, dissertation and participating in group assessments have all pushed me outside my comfort zone. The university nurtures both independence and teamwork, helping me learn to lead and collaborate more effectively. Feedback is thoughtful and constructive, it motivates me to keep improving, and I always know what I need to do to reach my goals. However, there is room for improvement. While there are some great events for students, master’s courses can sometimes feel a little isolated after class finishes. I would love to see more postgraduate socials, networking nights, and informal gatherings to help us connect. Extra sessions like guest lectures from leading HR professionals would make a big difference in preparing us for our careers. I also think career guidance tailored to master’s students would be invaluable, and more quiet study spaces for busy periods could improve the campus atmosphere. But what truly makes Gloucestershire special is the genuine care shown for student wellbeing. The university’s commitment to inclusivity making everyone feel welcome regardless of their background creates an environment where learning is enjoyable and personal growth is celebrated. Looking back, I am proud of the challenges I have overcome, the people I have connected with, and the knowledge I’ve gained. I would wholeheartedly recommend the University of Gloucestershire to anyone wanting an inspiring, supportive place to study. As I move forward, I feel confident and motivated, grateful to be in a university that invests in my future

My favorite thing about Rave is how industry focused we are. Translating our work into the real world is discussed very often. We get talks from guests who have tons of insight and our tutors are also knowledgeable. In terms of improvement, Rave is lacking in the student life area. There are not many active societies and it can be difficult to meet people or create student lead events.

BCU is a good place to study because the lecturers are supportive, the teaching is clear, and the facilities in Seacole/Harborne are really built for healthcare students. The campus feels safe and organised, and there’s a good atmosphere for learning. The only thing that could improve is getting timetable info a bit earlier, but overall it’s a solid uni experience.

For my personal Experience I had some difficulties to find correct information. Timetable change should be limited to one week. One Complsary welcome day should be there where we can get comprehensive idea about university which covers building, extra curricular opptunitis, emoloyerbilty and all . It should be informative event as well as the event with entertainment to welcome the students.

I am thoroughly enjoying studying at Portsmouth University, although i have struggled throughout my time here with mental health problems all the staff in every department have been amazing and without their incredible support im not sure i would have reached my third year and be looking at graduating! i cant praise them higher, it is an incredible university that treats every student the same no matter who they are, where they are from or any disabilities they may have.

I currently study at the Headingley campus which is a beautiful place to study, with a mixture of traditional and modern architecture, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are amazing and equipment is fully updated which allows me and others to get the best out of the course and to put knowledge learnt to practice in practical sessions. As part of my nutrition course so far, I would say my favourite part was cooking in the kitchen and understanding what we need to eat to be able to perform to our full potential. Another great experience so far is the seminar bonding sessions. Starting University, I did not know any people on my course, however team bonding activities were available to get to know lecturers and students in the same course with similar interests. The workload is greatly managed with lectures being released weekly and small and achievable tasks are set session to keep me on track throughout each semester. I also take part in the social sport. The facilities are really good for the football membership and I have open access to the gym, swimming and many more. The coaches are highly qualified and make sessions worth while. The only thing I would improve is the cost as it is quite expensive and doesn’t include training kit or accessories. Overall I would highly recommend Leeds beckett University.

The Students Union is honestly the best part of the University of Sheffield. With over 300 societies, you're sure to find something to your liking. Apart from that, the university has great facilities and the Diamond (engineering building) has anything you could ever need. 10/10 uni.

It is a clean campus with lovely views and great tutors that are genuinely helpful and understanding. There are lots of clubs that you can join according to your interests and posters with information on to get help and support, which I think it very good to have visible. The selection of courses are fantastic and you can find out about them with ease from the website or staff as they are all friendly and very nice to speak with about concerns or questions. The smoking areas are a mess and over crowded with younger students that can quite literally get away with pretty much anything, they get a verbal warning and that's it. From verbal abuse to things being thrown at you to being shoved hard, they get away with it to outright bulling I have seen in front of me within these areas is alarming. Getting on the bus at the end of the day feels like a appointment with a near death experience as the naughty kids fights to get to the back of the bus, again pushing, shoving and elbowing is common practice, and for some reason none of them can just keep a seat belt on. But, when it comes to safe guarding it is sadly extremely lacking I have (and others) have had issues with other students sending inappropriate images or messages, even with proof and an email from the police they are still in attendance. I never got any follow up or help with this. I find this disappointing and disheartening as it does make me feel less safe on campus as though any issues will not be dealt with in a firm professional manner.

I love the city in general. The University's libraries are good. with proper facilities that I can use, such as discussion rooms, computers, printers, even 3D printer! Some buildings look so old but in positive ways, make them look classic and cultured. However, in my own experience, some classrooms are a little bit aged. i mean, like some chairs are feel old, they are sometimes kind of wobbly, and some of them do not have enough leg room. Main library can be crowded when exam days come, but I think that is something that can not be avoided. i think it is good to add some space for classrooms or some like study hubs.
