International Business Studies degrees in South West England

The location is fantastic. Plymouth is a beautiful city with decent nightlife and you can easily get on a train or a cheap bus and travel in any direction and enjoy the most beautiful coast and countryside. The main campus is nice, albeit mostly grey concrete with some ugly modern art thrown in. There isn't as much greenery as other universities and some of the facilities aren't great but the good ones are really modern, really colourful and very comfortable. The lecturers are nice people and some of their classes are really interesting and involving. The Student Union organises all sorts of events celebrating different cultures and in the bar there are drinks for a reasonable price, themed discos and a pub quiz every Sunday, all very enjoyable. There are lots of sports clubs and different societies to join and they're generally very welcoming.

Student Union is very good and have very handy services for a range of needs (+1 star), even down to advice or signposting you to appropriations sources of help within the uni (+1 star). It has a nice range of societies, student-led and all unique; having only joined societies in my second year, I can say being a part of them definitely does improve student life to a noticeable effect (+1 star). Food on campus in the Fusion building can be a pricey - however, food served in Dylan’s Bar and Kitchen in Poole House is actually nice and prices are fairly considerate (+1 star).

The lecturing staff are incredible and really care about helping students thrive, when you have an interest in something they are always there to help and push you each week to ensure you reach your goals

Everything is generally really good but I would be great to have some more private study spaces and greener areas. The workload is often a bit too much as well so it would be amazing if the module leaders would communicate with each other better to avoid overloading students.

I really appreciate the library for its peaceful environment, which is perfect for focusing on my studies. However, I've noticed a few areas that could be enhanced for a better experience. For instance, it's great that there are vending machines on the ground floor to grab a quick sandwich or water when hungry, but the absence of a microwave and a water heater is a bit of an inconvenience. This is especially true for times when someone, particularly girls during their menstrual cycle or anyone with a stomachache, might need warm food or a hot drink. It would be wonderful if the school could consider adding these facilities to make our library time even more comfortable.

The university of Exeter is a great place to study especially as a humanities student. I am currently in my first year of the history undergraduate degree and about to go into my second term. I thoroughly enjoyed my first term at Exeter university both socially and academically. It definitely can be challenging at times especially adjusting to the increased workload from A levels however I feel like I started to get the grasps of it at the end of my first term. Exeter is a lovely city to live in with many places to visit such as princess hay shopping centre and the historic Exeter cathedral.

I am allergic to Costa Coffee so perhaps more coffee more sometimes around the campus maybe one of each floor cost? Students union website is confusing. Could not find much to do, even gym and student union events/activities student support could be better. the emails could be more shared around
