The best parts of my university experience have been the modern facilities, supportive staff, and great location. The campus looks welcoming, and the student union offers plenty of societies and events, which makes it easy to get involved. However, it could be improved by offering more affordable food options on campus and extending library opening hours during exam periods.

Lectures are very interesting, I enjoy the variety of topics and lecturers on the history course. Earlham park is beautiful and a great walk to pass. It’s so hard as a commuting student to make friends and getting to the university is an absolute nightmare, the parking on campus is absolutely ridiculously expensive, the free parking and ride service takes absolutely forever and I’m always late, I have to get up at 5:50 to make a 9am lecture when I live a 20 minute drive away, if I could afford the parking on campus I would do it as I would be on time and not stress. It is £13.50 for a time slot of 8:50-11

One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the diversity and welcoming atmosphere. As an international student, that sense of inclusion really matters. The campus is modern, the accommodation is convenient, and it’s easy to meet people from different backgrounds. I also appreciate that lecturers are approachable and the teaching feels practical and relevant to real careers. The most challenging part for me was definitely information overload at the beginning. There were a lot of emails, updates, platforms, and systems to understand all at once, which honestly made me feel anxious at first. However, once you learn how everything works and organize what’s important, it becomes much more manageable. Overall, it is a supportive environment where you can grow academically and personally, it just takes a little time to adjust.

I was in the Bedford campus and the student life was limited. This was because many people travelled into uni from their homes. The student union was great at providing activities in the afternoons/ evenings. They also support students. all you have to do is email them or go to social events.

The teaching staff are approachable and knowledgeable, and the university provides useful resources that help students develop both academically and professionally. Studying in a diverse community has also helped me grow in confidence and cultural awareness. The most challenging aspect has been balancing academic responsibilities with part-time work and managing living costs, especially as an international student. While support services are available, clearer guidance on financial support, employability opportunities, and tailored support for international students would further improve the overall experience. Overall, the university is a great place to study, and enhanced support in these areas would make the student experience even stronger.

Pros - Great campus, amazing food options (subway, blends, union shop, cafeteria) - Great lab facilities, especially the super lab - Lovely and helpful lecturers Cons - May require two buses to reach if travelling from outside of Derby, can be pricey since the U1 bus is no longer free - Careers office in atrium is not very helpful in the times I've been there, often we're just directed to the website rather than receiving meaningful advice.

From my perspective of being a student at coventry university id like to say how good the physical location and quality of all the facilites are. the design, layout, and ease of access for botth the engineering building and the library are excillent, student life here is great too, i currently live in a rental-based accommodation with 4 people, and it works quite well. Personally I couldnt fault the university with anything as I believe it is perfectly equipped to fullfil all its students needs.

One of the best aspects of studying at De Montfort University is the supportive and diverse environment. As an international student, I feel welcomed and included. The university has strong student support services, especially the Disability Advice and Support team, who are understanding and helpful. The MSc Project Management course is practical and career-focused. The modules are well-structured, and seminars encourage discussion and real-life application of concepts. The lecturers are approachable and provide useful feedback on assignments. Student life in Leicester is also a positive experience. The city is affordable compared to other UK cities, and everything is accessible. The campus facilities, including the library and study spaces, are modern and comfortable for independent learning. While the university offers good support, sometimes communication about attendance expectations and academic requirements could be clearer, especially for students managing health or personal challenges. In addition, more flexibility in seminar attendance for students with documented disabilities could make the experience less stressful. Providing recorded seminar discussions (where possible) would help students who occasionally cannot attend in person. Overall, De Montfort University is a supportive and career-oriented institution, but improving flexibility and communication would make it even better.
