Interior Design degrees

NTU offers amazing facilities particularly for the animal science courses. Studying at Brackenhurst you get to explore beautiful grounds and historic architecture whilst provided with on hand experience with animals. Living on city campus you get to experience the classic uni life surrounded by independent clubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. Moreover, the endless societies can take you to the national ice centre, the climbing gym or into the peak district.

I don’t know what the student union is, but other than that the university is safe, homely and quiet, I really enjoy the university for that reason. I feel like the only aspect thats impacting my thought of the uni in a bad way is the distance I have to travel to get here, but that’s not the university’s fault so the university experience is pretty solid.

My university experience had both highs and lows. I enjoyed learning new things, meeting people, and working on projects, which helped me grow personally and academically. At the same time, challenges like heavy workloads and occasional disorganization taught me resilience and time management, making the experience overall valuable and formative.

The best part about my uni experience is meeting new people, and being able to to specialise in specific Areas. Not only that but getting taught be people who actually know what they are talking about is very helpful as they are able to tell us about the industry from their perspective. The course is really interesting and is always a welcome challenge.

My university experience has been very positive overall. The teaching staff are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely supportive, which makes a big difference academically and personally. The course content is engaging and relevant, with a good balance between theory and practical application. I’ve also really valued the sense of community — there are plenty of societies, events, and opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds, making it a welcoming and inclusive place to study. The campus facilities and resources, particularly the library and online learning platforms, have been extremely helpful.

The University of Hertfordshire has great facilities, but there are quite a few unnecessary procedures that could be streamlined, such as booking appointments for even the smallest matters. My experience so far has been disappointing from an academic perspective. I was expecting better quality education, but instead, most of the lectures consist of simply reading from PowerPoint slides, and the practical sessions have been far from engaging. While I understand that self-study is important, not all students, especially international ones like myself, have prior industrial experience or expertise. It's crucial that the university recognizes this and provides clearer, more detailed information about the curriculum, how exams work, and what is expected in terms of assessments. Relying solely on self-study and putting too much responsibility on the students isn’t fair, especially when we're paying for a quality education.

The activities organised by the school for MBA students is impeccable. From industry seminars, to skills workshops and immersive group bonding events it’s truly been amazing. One area of improvement would be for the school to partner with institutions for secure placement opportunities for their students, especially international students so their learning experience is robust and seamless.

It is a great place to study because it offers a supportive learning environment, good facilities, and helpful academic staff, which help students stay focused and succeed. However, the experience could be improved by providing better access to study spaces, improved digital resources, and additional academic and wellbeing support.

The diverse support offer to student make feel confident. Moreover the student union is very welcome and the different societies are active in organising events that make the student life interesting and fun.

The university offers such a vast range of opportunities and support for all students in all areas! The best part about university is the level of support and understanding the staff and student union offer, and the range of resources available.
