Human Resources Management degrees in Southern England

Most of the lecturers are lovely and really helpful. There’s been lots of student events to keep it a fun and exciting time and take the pressure off studying. The library is great but can be difficult to find somewhere to study when it’s busy

Lots of options for student support, making it easy to access. General university life is good and facilities great but the course aspect is where it lacks. Assessments are often graded late with little feedback. Changes are made around uni with little communication in advance. Placement years are overrated. Staff can sometimes be really nasty.

The location is fantastic. Plymouth is a beautiful city with decent nightlife and you can easily get on a train or a cheap bus and travel in any direction and enjoy the most beautiful coast and countryside. The main campus is nice, albeit mostly grey concrete with some ugly modern art thrown in. There isn't as much greenery as other universities and some of the facilities aren't great but the good ones are really modern, really colourful and very comfortable. The lecturers are nice people and some of their classes are really interesting and involving. The Student Union organises all sorts of events celebrating different cultures and in the bar there are drinks for a reasonable price, themed discos and a pub quiz every Sunday, all very enjoyable. There are lots of sports clubs and different societies to join and they're generally very welcoming.

University offers intellectual growth and self-discovery through academics, diverse ideas, and independence. It’s also a place to build lasting friendships, explore passions, and embrace vibrant campus life.

The teachers, so far that I have had, have been so wonderful. I started the first term really worried, feeling a bit lonely and emotional but I felt really inspired and motivated by them. I also think the overall values of the university are so good - it gives opportunities and a voice to all and I’m honestly proud to say that I study there. The thing, however I would improve on is communication. Sometimes it’s hard to get in touch with students services and get responses from them or queries raised. I also find personal tutors aren’t really that supportive.

I love the university, my course is great and covers a variety of topics. The facilities on campus are amazing and I can book out the dance studios for free. The Roehampton students union is ok but the communication could be better between societies and also in general. I would love the RSu to host more events or at least support and promote other events at the union bar students can attend.

The university is in a good location near to the city center and near student accommodations. The teachers are very helpful and always ready to assist students with their concerns. Overall the studying experience is excellent. However , there is not much events or activities for students
