Health and Medicine degrees in Newcastle

I like how everything is on campus, convenient, I love the study spaces available at varying levels of quietness. The student union is cheap but could do with a bit of updating. I like the assessments we are given, a variety like presentations and essays writing blogs however the feedback could be more informative. I definitely miss home more than I thought so I wish I had chosen a closer uni most of my friends are off campus which makes the weekends and evenings lonely.

Appreciate the friendly atmosphere of the Student Union and how efficiently they organize and manage the necessary work for students. The course modules are highly engaging, offering a well-structured curriculum that aligns with current technological advancements. This ensures students gain relevant, up-to-date knowledge that enhances their learning experience and career prospects.

It is overall a good Uni with lots of well funded resources and opportunities. To improve it would need to put a greater store in supporting its ND students and taking a more student centric view of its curriculum. It currently has a do or die survival of the fittest approach rather than building a framework for success and guiding students to prosper.

My time here in the two-year course has been quite good overall. When COVID-19 started everything went up the left and the college wasn't able to cope very well, though I feel they are very slowly improving their services and cooperation with students. However, just recently they disabled OneDrive syncing to personal devices so that has made a lot of student's work routines more difficult.

Ulster has provided me with great support throughout my time at uni with my mental health struggles. The variety of courses in business degree is great providing students with insights into all aspects of business. Ulster’s careers services is exceptional providing great support to final year students. Overall would highly recommend Ulster university
