I am in the second year of my Kingston awarded BA fashion design course and i absolutely love it. There are some pros and cons but the pros definitely outweigh the cons for me. The class sizes are very small enabling each student to get as much help as they need. The lecturers are incredibly supportive. The facilities are amazing and there is enough room for every student to have their own space. It is located in a really nice area of Cambridge as well. For fashion it is not the same as if you were in London but the train ride is only 50 minutes. Cambridge nightlife is not amazing but because the city is so small its easy to make friends when you go out. I have grown to really love this place and will definitely miss it when i am finished.

College has offered great support over the last year during COVID, I have still managed to be able to do my work and achieve the grades I wanted. College has kept clean and offered many hand sanitizer stations. College is offering various online catch up sessions and opportunity sessions.

My experience at Buckinghamshire New University has been positive overall, especially in terms of the support from lecturers and the sense of community on campus. The teaching on my course feels practical and career‑focused, with staff who are approachable and willing to give detailed feedback when asked. Facilities are generally good for the size of the university, and the smaller cohort means it is easier to get to know people and access help when needed. The main issues for me have been parking and internet services. Parking spaces can be difficult to find at busy times, which is frustrating if you commute by car and need to arrive for early lectures. The internet on campus can also be unreliable or slow at peak times, which makes it harder to access online learning materials or submit work. Overall, I would recommend Bucks to students who prefer a more personal, close‑knit environment rather than a huge campus, and who value supportive staff and practical learning. As with any university, it is important to be proactive, use the support on offer, and get involved in activities to make the most of the experience.

Northampton university is amazing when it comes to inclusiveness. I feel like I am being supported in the ways I need to be. This is complemented by how amazing the lecturers are and how they make every class fun and interesting. However there are several flaws. The lack of student study spaces that are quite and actually available is hard to come by there is also tbe issue of not having wifi that reaches all the classrooms. Most of the week I am out of wifi range so am unable to use the resources I need to study on campus.

Tutors are lovely but the only thing that could be improved is the support for the English and the rest of the students who are not from Scotland. It's took me 3 years to get help for my dyslexia and that is because I have to pay for it.

I absolutely love this college. The staff are so lovely and friendly, and are always willing to support and help students. The lecturers and staff of the photography department are fantastic. The one-to-one tutorials with lecturers are incredibly helpful for students, providing feedback and support on what works well in their work and what they could improve. I started the photography course with no knowledge of photography. As a result of the three years on the course, I have gained so much knowledge on photography that I could not have imagined having before starting the course. I have gained so much confidence as a result of being on the course due to the incredible support from the staff on the course. The staff are so encouraging when it comes to students and are passionate about their work. The staff has encouraged me to expand my creativity and, as a result, I have seen a drastic change between my work before the course and my work as a result of the course. It has been an absolute privilege studying at Carmarthen School of Art, and I will greatly missing being there. I would definitely recommend studying here to anyone passionate about art, especially photography.

I love the city in general. The University's libraries are good. with proper facilities that I can use, such as discussion rooms, computers, printers, even 3D printer! Some buildings look so old but in positive ways, make them look classic and cultured. However, in my own experience, some classrooms are a little bit aged. i mean, like some chairs are feel old, they are sometimes kind of wobbly, and some of them do not have enough leg room. Main library can be crowded when exam days come, but I think that is something that can not be avoided. i think it is good to add some space for classrooms or some like study hubs.

On a Fashion and Textiles degree, students can expect to develop skills in fashion illustration, textile design and also sewing and pattern cutting. An artistic eye and strong attention to detail are must haves when pursuing this degree. In addition to the practical skills you will develop, you will also learn more about how the industry operates commercially, which is an important aspect given the industry’s notoriously competitive nature. Students that study this degree can go on to find jobs as textile designers, stylist, visual merchandiser and a clothing/textile technologist.
