What students say about family-law

The strong sense of community, excellent student support and the focus on academic excellence with a personal touch makes it a great place to study. There could be more investment in academic resources and libraries and the student union could be more active and engaging.

I’m really enjoying my time at NTU! The academic environment is fantastic—lecturers are passionate about their subjects, and the courses are engaging and well-structured. There’s plenty of support available, whether it’s academic help, career advice, or mental health services. The social side is also a huge plus! There are so many societies, sports teams, and events that make it easy to meet new people and get involved. The campus itself is a great place to study, with modern facilities, good libraries, and plenty of study spaces.

There is great support for students and facilities, especially for photography. I have been able to create high-quality prints and experiment with various cameras and lighting. As well as knowing that my lecturers are there to support me. The building is situated well in the centre of Cardiff, with it being very accessible to various student accommodations, shops, places to go out and transport links. However, the student union could host more events to bring students together even more.

What students say about family-law

I love the city in general. The University's libraries are good. with proper facilities that I can use, such as discussion rooms, computers, printers, even 3D printer! Some buildings look so old but in positive ways, make them look classic and cultured. However, in my own experience, some classrooms are a little bit aged. i mean, like some chairs are feel old, they are sometimes kind of wobbly, and some of them do not have enough leg room. Main library can be crowded when exam days come, but I think that is something that can not be avoided. i think it is good to add some space for classrooms or some like study hubs.

Explore more about family-law

Studying family law

As a student on a family law course, you’ll be focusing on issues faced by children and young people in relation to the law. You’ll explore how different factors affect young people, why they might commit crimes and how to support young offenders and their families. After graduating, you might want to pursue a career as a social worker, youth worker, case worker or housing officer. You may be working with children and young people in their family homes, or you might want to work with children in care and be based in a care home, or you could work at a young offender’s facility to support young offenders. There are also postgraduate opportunities available, and you could study subjects such as social work or criminal justice.
