The student report is great and really accessible for all different types of issues and problems you may need. Some of the buildings look quite dull, I would like if the lecture rooms had more windows.

the location is very convienient and is very close to many shops. However the Hallam Help Desk is not very convinient and only give info that can already be found or a number that says info already on the site(s). However the teachers are helpful at saying where to get help and request specifics. The lessons are also nice as they allow conversations between the class about the subject and leszon along with help from the teachers.

Based on my time here, the University of Huddersfield is an excellent choice if you're looking for a career-focused degree and a supportive learning environment. The standout feature is definitely the teaching quality, backed by the Gold TEF rating, as nearly all my lecturers were genuine experts who were passionate and approachable. The modern, compact campus is a big plus—everything is central, from the state-of-the-art library (great during exam season!) to the specialist labs, and the fact that Huddersfield itself is a really affordable student town makes a huge difference. While the local nightlife might not rival a big city like Manchester, the focus on practical skills, the strong emphasis on industry placements, and the overall sense of community made my experience highly rewarding and put me in a great position for my career.

There are excellent lecturers and student support services (particularly academic skills). The campus has a good feel and has a lot of outdoor seating which will be nice when the weather is warm. Lecture rooms are good but the seats are very uncomfortable. There is little impact from the students' union, for example there was no 'refreshers fayre' for January intake students, which also impacts the student life score.

Sheffield in general is such a homely and friendly city which already makes the university experience amazing. However, these factors are supported by the incredible student union which is consistently offering a rage of activities, contests, events and more to ensure everyone feels involved and welcome. The standard of teaching is so high, each member of staff putting maximum effort in to support us in our studies and ensure we are coping okay with the change to independent living. I couldn't say anything bad about the University; coming here was the best decision I have made!
