Location is ideal if you travel by train, as the train station is literally on the door step of the uni! The main campus is large, split over 2 sites across the train tracks, health and clinical courses are taught at the Mary Seacole and allerton buildings. Both very well equiped and large enough to accommodate the large cohort. Amazing facilities including xray and CT machines. The library is always open and loads of small quiet places to stay, socialise and study. This is a big campus and can be over whelming, however this is helped by good planning of rooms and common rooms across both campuses.

Some buildings are quite old and have lots of obvious wear and tear, like seats/toilets. Enrollment was a nightmare, no actual support. Should have little kitchen accessible for students, with hot water available. Not everyone affords to pay for hot beverages all the time. Lecturers are awesome-cannot fault them!!!!

DMU is a diverse, inclusive, welcoming university. I live an hour away and am a mature student, so I can't comment on the 'typical' student life, but as a single mum and a neurodivergent person I can honestly say that there is a lot of support available and I think I will thrive across my 3 years there.

Everything is amazing. The staff is super friendly even though I’ve been here for few months they recognise me and smile. Tutors are great! Very understanding and super helpful. They are always going the extra mile for all of us.

Nice modern music studios and lots of music practice rooms that are easy to book outside of lecture times for band practices/production sessions/recording sessions. The uni can be a bit slow with admin side of things (like timetables/finance) so I'd recommend being pro-active in those regards to make sure you are on top of things where possible. A decent amount of societies to get stuck into if you go to the fresher's fayre at the start of the year. However the student union bar is pretty dead other than on society nights.

Excellent facility focused on networking and the music industry. Equipped with many instruments, macs and recording softwares and studio. Possibly a more active student union and improved living facilities such as a canteen or upgraded common room (bimm dublin)

It’s an incredible place to study - with amazing connections and history. Feel very lucky to study here. The course is well led to identifying your career goals and ambitions and trying to work within that field. Some of the teaching staff are a bit up themselves at time and can give a little bitter feeling towards music,
