Everything is just up to the mark. The staff is to cooperative and the labs and buildings are cutting edge and modern. You have excess to every academic and practical you need to study as a master student.

The university offers great financial and mental health support. It has course reps to keep on enhancing the quality of student life, as a course I am able to communicate in meetings of problems (if any) around my course. The university keeps me well informed about anything happening at university which makes me feel like I’m part of DMU. The personal tutors make sure that they are accessible to their students. In terms of how it could be improved would be the lecture halls, to make them look more motivating.

It is overall a good Uni with lots of well funded resources and opportunities. To improve it would need to put a greater store in supporting its ND students and taking a more student centric view of its curriculum. It currently has a do or die survival of the fittest approach rather than building a framework for success and guiding students to prosper.

Campus is close to such beautiful places and countryside towns such as matlock so there are plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the countryside scenery. Campus is also located in the city centre so lots of things to do, places to shop and also clubbing! Plenty of societies and social opportunities provided so easy to make friends and meet new people. Only critique is student halls and accommodation could do with a refurb and update however private accommodations in derby are a good alternative.

The staff are absolutely amazing, the course is excellent, student life is bustling. They could improve their social media presence and marketing in general. It'd be nice to see a stronger bigger reputation for this place really. It'd be ideal if they taught us about social media and how best to use it, as it is SO IMPORTANT for musicians to know!

The lecturers are very nice and knowledgeable. There’s great student support available through the wellbeing hub as well as assessment support and tutorials. Many interesting masterclasses with industry professionals are given. The main point of improvement is the building. The windows need to be completely redone due to a mold problem and some of the air conditioners don’t work properly.
