Studying construction project management

As a project management student, you’ll be learning about the lifecycle of projects, from the concept and design all the way through to building and completion. On a construction project management degree, you’ll have a particular focus on construction projects, learning skills such as programming, planning, risk assessment, construction technology, health and safety and people management. After you graduate, you may want to continue to postgraduate study, or go straight into work. Common careers include project management surveyor and project manager, but you may wish to specialise and work focus on certain types of projects, for example working as a solar construction project manager.
