The lecturers are very nice and knowledgeable. There’s great student support available through the wellbeing hub as well as assessment support and tutorials. Many interesting masterclasses with industry professionals are given. The main point of improvement is the building. The windows need to be completely redone due to a mold problem and some of the air conditioners don’t work properly.

Not always the most supportive and clear with assignments that are due and not always as understanding something doesn’t go to plan. The vet school in Langford cafeteria is quite limited and a lot more expensive than the main campus There is also limited areas to eat and relax compared to the main campus The content is not well spaced out on blackboard you often have to go into multiple folders to find specific work

Buckinghamshire New University is a great place to study with its supportive lecturers, friendly staff, and inclusive learning environment. The atmosphere on campus encourages both personal and academic growth, and the university truly values student well-being. One area that could be improved is by helping students form cultural communities for example Asian or other international groups and encouraging them to plan events together. This would create a stronger sense of belongingness, help students connect across cultures, and reduce feelings of homesickness among international students.

The sense of community in the building is top notch, the staff are very pleasant and some very sociable. The attractive building and agreeable staff/students make it an extremely enjoyable place to work and hang out. The only negative I can muster up so far, is the fairly random seeming first module, students are doing roles that they don’t understand due to not being taught what they do, and rules for the production seem messy and not completely thought through.

The University of Staffordshire has a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The lecturers are passionate and always willing to help, and the campus has a real community feel where you never feel like “just another student.” The facilities are modern, and the hands-on teaching style makes you feel prepared for real-world work. There’s also a great balance between academic support and social life, which really helps you settle in and enjoy the experience. And how could it be improved? Communication between departments could sometimes be smoother, especially around deadlines or timetable changes. More study spaces during peak times would also be helpful. And while the support services are great, extending their availability during exam periods would make a big difference.

I started the BA Photography course in 2018 and finished in 2022. I found the modules interesting, and we had a good mix of arts and more commercially orientated guest speakers. The tutors were incredibly helpful and supportive and did their best to provide engaging sessions despite the disruption of covid19 during my studies there. Resources are good with plenty of studio space, a big Mac-based editing room, and a massive dark room (B@W plus colour possible). Technical support is excellent too. Certainly worth considering for an undergraduate-level photography degree.

I believe that there could be a bit more communication for international students for before, during, and after they arrive at uni. However the uni is absolutely beautiful and very close to the city! The faculty and students are all so nice and friendly, I definitely felt welcomed after I arrived.
