i love the community - societies are great, i love how i’ve met so many people and get to do a course i love, the worst aspect is maybe how many days were in as it doesn’t see very worth it and facilities/resources for art students as we got £150 from an exhibition last year and they kept the money for “resources” however we’ve not seen any

Each assignment in each module has been fun to do, the lecturers give detailed feedback on anything we hand in as well as how they present each lecture is engaging and interesting. The campus is modern and different from most unis as it’s a lot smaller which I think is a good thing because it means the uni focuses on student engagement a lot more.

The commute links are very convenient as someone who has to travel from peripheries of Manchester .St James campus is very arranged and plentiful spaces and resources for students like myself however I must say there isn’t much of a social aspect example societies or events going on I believe due to it not being Edge Hills main campus However since my course is placement based when we do arrive to campus we naturally socialise and she one another’s experiences .Overall Univeristy social aspect is amazing considering lots of places to go since on Oxford Road Would be nice to have some events or even go to Main campus as a whole

Great social life, good options for student societies, a lot of student support. A lot of professionals teaching on the course and it gave me exactly what I wanted for my career progression into genetics

The community feel at the university of York is wonderful. The campus is always buzzing with students and has so many nice areas outside to sit and chat or decompress between lectures. Sitting by the lake and watching the swans and ducks is one of my favourite places to eat lunch with friends. Overall, I've had a great experience with interesting lecturers and supportive supervisors for lab projects, and would recommend York to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-rounded and high quality education experience at University! Improvements could be made in the delivery of information between management and students, especially regarding the future of departments to ensure all students feel represented, respected and informed about the next stages of their teaching.

The university is filled with extremely welcoming, uplifting staff. There have been a few times that I have felt anxious, or nervous, particularly when starting or needing to get support with technical issues, but every time, the staff and fellow students have been exceptionally kind, polite and helpful. The location is perfect, in my opinion. Chester is a great city, and has very good links to larger cities (Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham). Lots of places to hang out, and I have no doubt I’ll be discovering new spots continuously through to my first year. Chester is also the perfect size to have everything you could think of in very short distance. The campus is great (Exton), but admittedly would look much nicer with more greenery in places, but so far, the course, staff and support have been exceptional, and there is something for everybody!

Best aspects: The university provides a supportive learning environment with helpful lecturers and good academic resources. The campus is generally welcoming, and there are plenty of opportunities to develop skills both academically and personally. Worst aspects / Improvements: One issue that needs improvement is the heating and hot water system, as it does not always work properly. At times, students only have access to cold water, which can be uncomfortable and difficult, especially for students who are sensitive or have health issues related to cold temperatures. Ensuring reliable heating and hot water would greatly improve student comfort and wellbeing.
