Business Studies degrees in Southampton

it is a very green campus with lovely up to date libraries and accommodation. it is close to town and the train station makes it easy to go southampton for a night out. unfortunately not a great nightlife, SU is good but queue for hours to get in, and no clubs in the town.

It’s a great place to study as everything is in one location. There are a lot of useful services and facilities the uni offers. I think that some lecturers may not be the most supportive or helpful at times. And I also think the uni does not advertise all the amazing or useful services or equipment they do provide - I noticed that myself and a few others would find out about useful equipment, services and facilities on our own accord at the end of our last year at uni, which felt a bit of a shame we weren’t told about them sooner.

Why do you let school kids into the UNIVERSITY library ? There is a public library 5 mins away, they don’t understand any library etiquette, I’m trying to revise for my fourth year medicine exams and they are chatting on level 5?! And let’s not even get started on level 4 which is meant to be a silent level, sounds like a socialising cafe during exam season. If you’re going to let them in , at least enforce the rules of silent study or say they can only go on one floor. They’re not paying 10K a year so how come they can use the library facilities and disrupt the people who do pay?

There is a great atmosphere on campus, everyone is friendly and supportive, the facilities are amazing especially the new science and research centre. Smaller class sizes gives it a more personal approach to university life. There is an amazing support network to help you progress through your degree.
