Business Management degrees in South East England

Most of the lecturers are great and very talented. But I would say the first year is very intense in terms of pace and the amount of content for each lecture so a little overwhelming. There’s a large amount of neuroscience and stats. Feedback can be a bit vague. There are societies and sport clubs. I tried a few societies but found them cliquey but others like them. Can’t comment on SUbas I’m a commuter and never been. The location of the uni is pretty isolated and boring. I’m a commuter but would feel bored living in Egham. It just feels like a village and is a 2 mile round walk. The uni is next to an A road and the walk up the hill is dodgy (narrow path). The people here tend to be on the posh side. I do think the campus and library is pretty, there’s a good library and teaching quality is good.

The university has supportive lecturers, good learning facilities, and a friendly environment. There are plenty of resources like libraries and online materials that help students succeed. It also offers a diverse community, which makes it easy to meet people from different backgrounds and feel included.

My experience at London South Bank University has been overwhelmingly positive, and I truly believe it is a great place to study and grow as a student. For many courses, practical sessions, workshops, and hands-on projects make learning more engaging and directly relevant to future careers. This practical approach is one of the main reasons LSBU graduates are well-prepared for the workforce. The location is also a huge advantage. Being in Central London means students have easy access to internships, part-time jobs, networking events, and professional opportunities. Public transport links around the campus are excellent, which makes commuting simple and convenient. Additionally, studying in such a vibrant, diverse city exposes you to many cultures and experiences that broaden your perspective and personal growth. LSBU is also known for its diversity. Students come from many different backgrounds and countries, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment. Interacting with a wide range of people enriches both academic and social life, and helps build strong communication skills and global awareness. The Students’ Union plays an important role in making campus life enjoyable. They organise events, clubs, and societies that help students socialise, develop hobbies, and take breaks from academic pressure. From cultural celebrations to academic workshops and sports activities, the SU offers something for everyone. It also supports student welfare and actively listens to student concerns. While my experience has been largely positive, there are a few areas that could be improved to make the university experience even better. Administrative processes, such as timetabling or enrollment updates, can sometimes be slow or unclear. Improved communication and faster responses would make things easier for students, especially during busy periods like the start of term. Additionally, although the accommodations are comfortable and close to campus, they can be quite expensive because of the London location. More affordable housing options would be very helpful for students on a tight budget. Lastly, while LSBU already hosts a number of events, increasing the number of career-oriented workshops, industry meetups, and networking sessions would make a big difference. These events help students make valuable connections and understand the professional world more deeply. Overall, London South Bank University offers a strong combination of academic support, practical teaching, modern facilities, and an excellent central London location. The friendly atmosphere, diversity, and active student life create a positive and motivating environment for learning. With a few improvements in communication and affordability, the university could provide an even better experience. Despite those small areas for development, LSBU remains a great place to study, grow, and prepare for future opportunities

The Buckingham community is really quaint and lovely, making it a really easy process when getting to know everyone and exploring the town. The university itself has some nice study spaces to offer, and the medicine building in particular is very well facilitated. In terms of improvement, the university could look into refurbishing some of the student accommodation buildings.

i love the facilities at this uni, the library and the teaching is great. there are many places for all types of students ,quiet or not, to go and the nightlife in the city is prety decent. it is quite affordable compared to other universitys close by. the societies are fantastic aswell. the university could improve on certain teaching aspects in the first year to ease us into how very independant it all is

The best part of my university experience has been the learning environment and independence. I’ve had access to good facilities, knowledgeable tutors, and projects that push me to think critically and work in a more professional way, especially through practical and design-based assignments. University has also helped me develop discipline, self-management, and confidence in my own ideas. Being surrounded by people from different backgrounds has broadened how I think, both academically and personally.

The campus enviroment makes it feel enjoyable and able to study well. Makes uni life an dxciting experience, The places it could improve on are same social events, more opportunitys to help students grow and suceed after uni.
