What students say about business-economics

Generally at least for biosciences, all the lecturers and modules head are very passionate and extremely well read so it makes learning the course a treat. Furthermore the location of swansea university being so close to the Gower AONB that we get lots of great field work. Swansea could be improved by giving by the 24hr library but other than that there really is much left to improve upon.

My uni experience has been spectacular so far. This is because the environment is really friendly and clean. Also, the location is really close to my accomodation so this makes it really easy for me to commute to uni by walking. I've also met my success coach which he's amazing.

What students say about business-economics

I currently study at the Headingley campus which is a beautiful place to study, with a mixture of traditional and modern architecture, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are amazing and equipment is fully updated which allows me and others to get the best out of the course and to put knowledge learnt to practice in practical sessions. As part of my nutrition course so far, I would say my favourite part was cooking in the kitchen and understanding what we need to eat to be able to perform to our full potential. Another great experience so far is the seminar bonding sessions. Starting University, I did not know any people on my course, however team bonding activities were available to get to know lecturers and students in the same course with similar interests. The workload is greatly managed with lectures being released weekly and small and achievable tasks are set session to keep me on track throughout each semester. I also take part in the social sport. The facilities are really good for the football membership and I have open access to the gym, swimming and many more. The coaches are highly qualified and make sessions worth while. The only thing I would improve is the cost as it is quite expensive and doesn’t include training kit or accessories. Overall I would highly recommend Leeds beckett University.

Best aspects of my experience is getting my degree. And the worst experience ever was when i followed my lecture advice on how to make slides for the presentation on point. And ended up getting the lowers mark for it.

What students say about business-economics

Lincoln is a lovely city, and the University is right next door to the heart of it. The University itself is nice, everyone seems friendly, the facilities are good, and the staff are cool. The only thing which I personally don’t like about the University is that it’s all modern, and I prefer the more traditional feel. The city itself is very historic, but I feel that is not reflected in the University. However, overall the University is nice and an enjoyable place to study. It’s a happy place and that’s what really matters in my opinion!

The SU and student life were probably the weakest parts of my university experience, but this is likely in part due to the small size of Aberystwyth. There were a range of societies but many stopped and restarted at various points. The campus has a great atmosphere and is just the right size!

What students say about business-economics

One of the best aspects of studying at the University of Greenwich has been the sense of community and the supportive environment created by both staff and students. The campus itself is a highlight the historic architecture and riverside location make it a genuinely inspiring place to study and there are plenty of spaces for both independent and group work. The lecturers are approachable and genuinely interested in helping students succeed often taking time outside of scheduled classes to offer guidance and feedback. I have also appreciated the range of extracurricular opportunities from societies to networking events which have helped me develop personally as well as academically. In terms of areas for improvement communication and organisation could sometimes be enhanced. There were occasions where deadlines, timetable changes or assessment guidelines were not communicated as clearly or as early as they could have been. Improving this would make the student experience more consistent and help reduce stress during busy periods. Additionally while there are strong support services available raising more awareness about how to access them could ensure more students benefit from the help on offer. Overall my experience has been positive and I feel that Greenwich is a place where students are encouraged to grow, explore new opportunities and feel part of a diverse and welcoming community. With a few improvements in communication and organisation it has the potential to be even better.

What students say about business-economics

Campus life is engaging and fun if you're active; lots of choices of sports and social clubs. 3sixty club in campus is also one of best student clubbing experience I've had in the UK. Library is chic and comfortable with sufficient study spaces and books / online resource. Course content is interesting and inspiring but coursework is indeed demanding (if you are a good and hardworking student). Tutoring hours is not quite enough and most of the time you are expected to guide yourself through module content and problem solving. Disabilities support is available and of easy access but they could be reluctant to provided further assistance to students suffering from severe conditions or sudden accidents, and this could impact your studies to a large degree. However, if you are a healthy student with normal social life, it is not that difficult to graduate with a 2:1 or 1st with a bit of hard work whilst enjoying uni life.

What students say about business-economics

Best aspects: The best thing about my university experience is definitely our professors, who come from all around the world. I’ve not only gained scientific knowledge but also learned so much about different cultures and communication styles. This has helped me improve my personal and professional skills. Another highlight is the library – the facilities for research and study are fantastic, and they’ve supported me a lot throughout my course. Worst aspects: The main challenge is that the university doesn’t have strong connections with pharmaceutical companies, which makes it difficult to secure internships through university links. On top of that, I’m still struggling to find a part-time job, and since there are no part-time opportunities on campus, it can sometimes be stressful to balance financial concerns with my studies. Having more career connections and part-time job opportunities on campus would really improve the overall experience.

What students say about business-economics

I find the location, community and campus feel very peaceful and relaxing, and the education provided is good quality and varied. There could be more support for students who struggle to fit in with the student body, e.g., more help and encouragement to join societies or opportunities to socialise with peers.
