What students say about business-economics

The student support services have all been absolutely incredible and top-tier specifically with the mental-health support teams. The processing of applications, particularly with finances have largely been, delayed and confusing putting unneeded stress on many people with things that should have been done months ago.

What students say about business-economics

The University of Hertfordshire has great facilities, but there are quite a few unnecessary procedures that could be streamlined, such as booking appointments for even the smallest matters. My experience so far has been disappointing from an academic perspective. I was expecting better quality education, but instead, most of the lectures consist of simply reading from PowerPoint slides, and the practical sessions have been far from engaging. While I understand that self-study is important, not all students, especially international ones like myself, have prior industrial experience or expertise. It's crucial that the university recognizes this and provides clearer, more detailed information about the curriculum, how exams work, and what is expected in terms of assessments. Relying solely on self-study and putting too much responsibility on the students isn’t fair, especially when we're paying for a quality education.

What students say about business-economics

I'm an optometry student entering my third year in September 2024. The lecturers are very nice and supportive; however, the optometry students in Group C are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lack any sort of manners. Many of them speak poorly of you if you fall behind or are slow in your routine, and they refuse to collaborate despite knowing that practice is essential for skill improvement.

What students say about business-economics

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

The location of the uni is incredible. Not far from town and other central locations. The campus is beautiful and very clean and supportive. I personally have had to use the student support schemes but I’ve been told they are very efficient and welcoming

As an international student, I struggled to find a teaching course that would allow me to study online while working a full time job. The University of Buckingham has afforded me the opportunity to study a high quality and in depth course while working full time. Their kindness and support during this process has been outstanding and has made all the difference for me. I cannot recommend them enough.

What students say about business-economics

I currently study at the Headingley campus which is a beautiful place to study, with a mixture of traditional and modern architecture, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are amazing and equipment is fully updated which allows me and others to get the best out of the course and to put knowledge learnt to practice in practical sessions. As part of my nutrition course so far, I would say my favourite part was cooking in the kitchen and understanding what we need to eat to be able to perform to our full potential. Another great experience so far is the seminar bonding sessions. Starting University, I did not know any people on my course, however team bonding activities were available to get to know lecturers and students in the same course with similar interests. The workload is greatly managed with lectures being released weekly and small and achievable tasks are set session to keep me on track throughout each semester. I also take part in the social sport. The facilities are really good for the football membership and I have open access to the gym, swimming and many more. The coaches are highly qualified and make sessions worth while. The only thing I would improve is the cost as it is quite expensive and doesn’t include training kit or accessories. Overall I would highly recommend Leeds beckett University.

So far, I am thoroughly enjoying the environment at the university. The campus is large and well-designed, providing plenty of space for students to study and relax. The university library is particularly impressive; it is spacious, modern, and easily accessible to all students, with extended hours to accommodate various schedules. My stay at Coventry University has been interesting and motivating. I am satisfied with the study environment, and the lecturers are highly qualified in their respective fields. The modules and assignments are clearly explained, which has helped me understand the topics better. Overall, I would encourage the lecturers to continue with their excellent teaching practices and to keep exploring ways to make learning even more engaging and effective.
