The Best: Any clarity on studies, student life, mental health, physical fitness was easily approachable and helpful. Professors are very kind and knowledgeable. When questioned correctly they are ready to help at any extent. Access to library and fitness is very useful and maintained promptly. Ambience and location of the university is perfectly held.

The best aspect of my university experience has been the supportive learning environment and access to diverse academic and professional opportunities. The best part of my university experience has been the growth that has happened alongside the degree itself. Studying law has pushed me to think in ways I never had to before. It has made me more analytical, more confident in expressing my opinions, and more resilient when things do not go to plan. Even in moments where I struggled, I realised that I am capable of more than I thought. I have also valued the independence that university gives you. You learn very quickly that your progress depends on the effort you put in. When you show up, engage with the material, and take responsibility for your own development, you can really see the difference. Some of my modules have genuinely challenged and inspired me, especially when the content felt relevant to real world issues. The most difficult aspect of university has been managing everything outside the classroom. Academic pressure, financial stress, and personal challenges can all overlap at the same time. It can feel isolating, especially when you assume everyone else is coping perfectly. I think universities could improve by offering more proactive support, particularly around mental health and placement guidance. Sometimes students need encouragement and structure before they reach breaking point, not after. Overall, my experience has not been perfect, but it has been transformative. I have grown academically and personally, and that growth is something I will carry with me beyond my degree.

Studying at Birmingham Newman University has been a really positive experience overall. The focus on student wellbeing and support services is also a big plus, especially during busy or stressful periods. That said, there are areas that could be improved. Because it’s a smaller university, facilities and resources can feel a bit limited compared to bigger institutions. There could also be more variety in extracurricular activities and societies to give students a wider university experience. Overall, it’s a great place to study if you value a close-knit, supportive environment, but expanding resources and opportunities would make the experience even better.

University of Worcester is friendly and inviting , the green spaces are brilliant and really bring a sense of zen to uni life. The students union has a lot to offer and are very supportive. Aswell as this the hangar has everything you need for socialising. The support of staff is second to none . The only thing I would say is the parking is very expensive and sometimes I would prefer all of my course related lectures on one campus rather than split across two

Studying at Birmingham City University in the Curzon building is great because of the modern facilities, comfortable study spaces, and central location, which makes everything convenient. It could be improved by adding more quiet study areas during busy times and better communication about timetable updates.

The supervisors, Phd office, students and the university itself have been wonderfully supportive. It is easy to criticise minor issues or those beyond the universities control, but overall it is just a great place to be and study. The Students Union could improve the way it deals with people as I did not find them particularly supportive, but then maybe I caught them on a bad day. I will still give them 4 stars since they mean well.

It is good as there is a plethora of support available for all kinds of needs, however, the learning methods are very monotone and there is no atmosphere in the lessons, but this is largely down to the unenthusiasm of a lot of students. Additionally, the facilities are decent but no better than the ones at I had at college, there is just a greater quantity of them. Given that you have to pay for university but not college, you would expect there to be significantly better facilities at a university compared to a college

I am a mature distance learning student, completing my MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. The online platform is easy to use and the digital library is expansive. All staff have been easy to contact when I need any support, including IT, Finance, Admin, my personal tutor and teaching staff. I have been assigned a mentor to help me stay connected with university life and the Philosophy department. The modules are contemporary, as are the course materials. The student cohort is diverse and we all connect to the course flexibly, from different time zones. I receive a weekly events newsletter which has plenty of options for attending online webinars and socials.

Beautiful campus, lots of hands on experience, lecturers that are happy to answer questions and provide additional support The social nights can feel quite rowdy if you arent involved, but the SU does offer quieter evening events as well Access to all shopping essentials on campus, with three cafes that all serve great coffee. For larger shops, the best way to get to town is the shuttlebus, which is becoming more frequent over time, and is only £2 per day
