Studying at the University of Aberdeen is a rewarding experience shaped by its historic environment, natural beauty, inclusive culture, and calm lifestyle. The university’s old granite buildings reflect a rich academic heritage that inspires respect for learning, while the surrounding green spaces and coastal scenery create a peaceful atmosphere that supports focus and well-being. The cold and serene lifestyle of Aberdeen encourages discipline, reflection, and a balanced approach to academic life. A key strength of the University of Aberdeen is its multicultural and respectful community. Students from different races, cultures, and nationalities interact in an environment built on mutual respect and understanding. This diversity broadens perspectives, promotes tolerance, and prepares students for global engagement. Academically, the university provides strong support through accessible lecturers and programs that emphasize critical thinking, research, and independence. Despite these positives, I do not see many sport activities like Tennis, Volley, Badminton and Hockey. Expanding indoor social and recreational spaces could help students stay engaged during long cold seasons. Overall, the University of Aberdeen stands out as a great place to study due to its history, natural environment, cultural diversity, and supportive academic atmosphere. With targeted improvements, it can further strengthen the student experience and its global appeal.

My university experience had both highs and lows. I enjoyed learning new things, meeting people, and working on projects, which helped me grow personally and academically. At the same time, challenges like heavy workloads and occasional disorganization taught me resilience and time management, making the experience overall valuable and formative.

Beautiful campus with great educational, social, and extracurricular opportunities. Being able to take elective subjects broadens your ability to understand topics from different points of view and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand. Extracurriculars which can suit anybody and any specific interests, also great for beginners who want to take on new challenges. I would say that the university’s avenues of support should be more accessible and have more funding - with such a huge student body this is vital. Those struggling with their mental health or require extra assistance with a physical disability should know that they have somewhere to go with any queries or concerns straight away. Though these are available, they should be advertised around the university a lot more so people know that they have a direct network of support which they can access whenever they may need it.

I feel that I have still learned a lot, but many of the assessments have been changed from practice assessments to essays or tests. I just can’t wait to be on campus because I know it will be so much better. I can’t give a proper opinion until I see what everything is like for myself

Student safety and community feel is very strong. Lots of history surrounding the university and the town is beautiful. To improve I would have better transport for student to move between town and the nearest cities (like Edinburgh), better nightlife for the students and more accomodation.

Strathclyde has been a great uni to study at, the events at the union make it really easy to make freinds and always had good deals on drink and food. I’ve always felt very supported with my studies and know who I can go to for help.

My experience at the University of Stirling has been truly positive. First of all, the best Aspects best Aspects Friendly Environment: The university is welcoming and makes it easy to focus on studies. Great Support: There is help for academics, mental health, and personal issues. Beautiful Campus: The surroundings are peaceful and full of nature. Learning Opportunities: You can learn new skills and meet new people. Worst Aspects Heavy Workload: Sometimes, it’s hard to balance studies and other activities. Few Social Events: There aren’t always enough fun activities. Cultural Challenges: It can be hard to adjust if you’re from another country.

I love the city in general. The University's libraries are good. with proper facilities that I can use, such as discussion rooms, computers, printers, even 3D printer! Some buildings look so old but in positive ways, make them look classic and cultured. However, in my own experience, some classrooms are a little bit aged. i mean, like some chairs are feel old, they are sometimes kind of wobbly, and some of them do not have enough leg room. Main library can be crowded when exam days come, but I think that is something that can not be avoided. i think it is good to add some space for classrooms or some like study hubs.
