What students say about animation

i love the facilities at this uni, the library and the teaching is great. there are many places for all types of students ,quiet or not, to go and the nightlife in the city is prety decent. it is quite affordable compared to other universitys close by. the societies are fantastic aswell. the university could improve on certain teaching aspects in the first year to ease us into how very independant it all is

Best aspects of studying Psychology at NTU: One of the strongest aspects is how structured and career-focused the course is. The modules are clearly organised, and there’s a strong emphasis on applying psychological theory to real-world settings, which makes the content feel relevant rather than purely academic. The teaching staff are generally approachable and knowledgeable, and many have practical or research experience that they bring into lectures and seminars. Another highlight is the range of resources available. NTU provides good access to online journals, research databases, and study spaces, which is especially useful for assignments and dissertations. The course also gradually builds your research skills, particularly in statistics and methods, which are essential for psychology but often difficult—NTU tends to scaffold this learning quite well. The campus environment is also a plus. It’s modern, well-maintained, and has a supportive atmosphere. There are plenty of societies and opportunities to get involved, which helps balance academic work with social life. Worst aspects / areas for improvement: A common challenge is the heavy focus on statistics and research methods, which can feel overwhelming—especially if you don’t have a strong maths background. While support is available, it can sometimes feel fast-paced, and not everyone finds the teaching style in this area accessible. Another downside is that feedback on assignments can occasionally be inconsistent or not detailed enough to clearly guide improvement. This can make it harder to understand how to progress between grades. Some lectures, particularly in larger modules, can feel quite impersonal due to class size. More interactive or discussion-based sessions would improve engagement and deepen understanding. Finally, like many psychology degrees, there can be a gap between theory and hands-on experience. More placement opportunities or practical exposure (e.g., working with clients or in applied settings) would make the course even stronger for those planning careers in mental health or applied psychology. What makes it a great place overall? Strong academic structure and clear progression Good research training and resources Supportive environment and modern campus Career-relevant content Top tips for improvement: More tailored support for statistics and methods More detailed and consistent assignment feedback Increased interactive teaching (seminars, discussions) Greater access to placements or practical experience

What students say about animation

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

The lectures are very informative and the lecturers are very friendly. What could be done to improve the university is to paint the walls in colour. Doesn’t have to be all of them. It’s just so grey inside R1, especially for an art’s uni, and it’s driving me insane because I’m in this building for 8 hours at a time.

There have been difficulties with communication from certain faculties to the students, but there have also been some lecturers who have been extremely supportive who have helped me with both educational and mental issues I have had, especially in the third year.

The lectures in my course are very helpful and always get back to you when you have questions. We have good weeks timetabling where we have online lessons and in person and we start at a nice time as well which gives people time to travel. Our lectures give us PowerPoints which we can also look at when at home for more revision. The university is big and is a couple bus stops from train stations which is helpful as well. There is lots of places to get food and they have a wide variety of things.

What students say about animation

I think Buckinghamshire university is perfect for international students. This university offers so many facilities and student union support is great. The best part is teachers and lecturers are very nice and considerate. They keep me motivated and encouraged while doing the assignments and through every classes. So far I've had a great experience and always happy at uni. One thing I got little pressure is about the fee as I'm facing financial problems.

What students say about animation

My experience at University of Brighton confidently prepared me for the future and allowed me to discover the best version of myself. Living in such a creative and vibrant city made every day feel like an adventure, and studying in Brighton offered the perfect balance between academic growth and an exciting student lifestyle. As an international student, feeling a sense of belonging was essential, and Brighton exceeded my expectations. From the very first day, the university’s welcoming and inclusive community made me feel at home. The international orientation programme was especially valuable, helping me form some of my closest friendships and making the transition to university life in the UK far less stressful than I had anticipated. The level of student support available throughout my degree was exceptional. Whether navigating academic challenges or personal concerns and exploring future opportunities , I always felt guided rather than overwhelmed. My student support guidance tutor and academic tutor were consistently available, offering help with assignments and regularly checking in on my wellbeing to ensure I was having a positive student experience. This personalised approach helped me stay motivated, confident, and supported at every stage of my studies. Career development was embedded into my student experience from the very beginning. The careers and employability team supported me in creating my first CV in my first year, securing part-time work in the city, and gaining clarity about my long-term goals. Even after graduating, their continued guidance has helped me align my interests with meaningful career opportunities, demonstrating the university’s genuine investment in its students’ futures. Beyond academics, student societies were central to my experience at Brighton. Through joining different societies, I was able to explore my interests outside the classroom, build friendships across disciplines, and feel part of a wider, supportive student community. The connections I formed and the memories created through shared activities became some of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of my university experience. Having access to three distinct campuses across the city further enriched my experience. The City Campus offered a creative and cosmopolitan environment, surrounded by Brighton’s thriving arts and social scene. Moulsecoomb Campus provided a more urban and academic atmosphere, conveniently positioned between the city centre and Falmer. Falmer Campus felt like a traditional campus university, with expansive green spaces, a strong sense of community, excellent facilities, and the Amex Stadium nearby, creating a unique blend of campus life and local pride. Across all campuses, the facilities are well maintained and thoughtfully designed, with excellent access to libraries, study spaces, and up-to-date equipment that support both academic success and student wellbeing. Reflecting on my overall experience, the University of Brighton offered far more than a degree. It provided a supportive environment in which I could grow academically, professionally, and personally, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to students seeking a university that truly invests in their development.

What students say about animation

The University of Westminster is a great place to study because of its location in the heart of London, at Baker Street. The professors are excellent and have relevant knowledge and experience in the sports industry. We also hear from experienced guest speakers working in the industry, which gives us valuable insight into real-world careers. In addition, we go on trips to visit sporting stadiums and venues, which is very helpful for gaining practical experience and a deeper understanding of the industry. The university experience could be enhanced by organising more on-campus activities and events for students.

Overall a lovely place, with great facilities and people, though it is hard to use all of them without proper explanation sometimes, eg. I took nearly a month to understand SOL and where to find my assessment and briefs.
