Accounting degrees in Northern England

Based on my time here, the University of Huddersfield is an excellent choice if you're looking for a career-focused degree and a supportive learning environment. The standout feature is definitely the teaching quality, backed by the Gold TEF rating, as nearly all my lecturers were genuine experts who were passionate and approachable. The modern, compact campus is a big plus—everything is central, from the state-of-the-art library (great during exam season!) to the specialist labs, and the fact that Huddersfield itself is a really affordable student town makes a huge difference. While the local nightlife might not rival a big city like Manchester, the focus on practical skills, the strong emphasis on industry placements, and the overall sense of community made my experience highly rewarding and put me in a great position for my career.

The campus is super nice but a little far away from the down Town. The teaching materials are interesting and well presented by the teachers. Also they support the students very well. Especially thé dissertation director assigned to each student.

1. My university Edge Hill, is a fantastic place to study! The staff are so supportive and friendly to students, they are always ready to help and lecturers are patient and passionate for their subject. There is support everywhere from students from career advice, to academic writing, and also wellbeing support. The facilities available are all new and modern. From laboratories in science based subjects to the sports centre facilities are new. There is also a vibrant community at Edge Hill which instantly made me feel more at home, people are welcoming and there are many societies to get involved in. 2. My university could improve by having more affordable shops on campus. The Morrison in "The Hub" is too expensive and not always convenient because prices are too high for things. I'd also appreciate for every accomodation hall to have their own washing machine, so it is more affordable for students to wash their clothes. It is also inconvenient that the EdgeLink bus only runs Monday to Friday, so on weekends us students have to walk 30 minutes to get into the town. This is especially inconvenient during winter when it gets dark early and especially if you are a lady.

The facilities that supports s the class activities are top notch as they help students gain practical experience of what they are taught theoretically. More so, the laboratory support is quite great.

I like inclusion that everyone is equal and part of university and there is relaxation about stuff like assignments and fees. Teachers also collaborate alot. Worst thing is lack of events. There should be more events

I don't like the uni location. It's too far from the city and there's no much to do. However, nothing can be done to change that. I would like that there is more opportunities for international students to visit the UK.

The Students’ Union is active and inclusive, offering a wide range of societies and support services that help students settle in and feel part of the community. The city of Sheffield itself is friendly, affordable, and vibrant, with plenty of green spaces and cultural activities. Overall, Sheffield Hallam provides a balanced blend of academic support, practical experience, and an enjoyable student life, making it a strong choice for many learners. I think the one thing that could be improved in my courses attendance taking. I would prefer if all my lectures took attendance so I could keep track of it myself.

-City itself is great, beautiful city and history and architecture, everywhere is easily accessible. -Student support could be better, heard and seen a lot of things that I feel is very unfair and not taken seriously -Facilities in the Kingsway campus is great, the campus itself is great, the location is in a bit of a strange area and is a bit far away from the main campus.

Yeah I just enrolled 2 weeks ago the university of bardfod is very strict in the matter of attendance,,the required attendance allowance rate is 85 percent it should be 70 percent , because some of international students face sometime issue regarding to their health ( mental health)

I really love the city, I love how the university looks after its students and how there is an amazing student life. The facilities are incredible. I think the Guild is good, but prices could be lower and with societies they could be more lenient compared to other universities
