The facilities are great and the support is there, but you really, really need to push for it, preferably before you even start. A lot of students are older students in counselling and psychology and may not have been in education for some time so they wouldn't know what might be available or what the level of work will be.

The content and tutors are fantastic, and I'd say certainly some of the best in the country in terms of learning at degree level. Just don't underestimate the amount of work and information involved, and don't expect not to change as a person and learn more about yourself than you expected.

Ipswich needs improvement, it has to be said. But the area around the uni seems fine.

The university itself is extremely modern, nicely laid out and has many facilities that meet the needs of different types of students, and people. They really seem to care about the student experience and the happiness of their students throughout the course. It could be improved by offering more lectures in person, more feedback sessions to further improvement.

Our year has been the first to introduce block and blended learning, which means we get to study one, or half a module across a 4/5 week period, I have found this extremely helpful as it allows for more specific focus across the weeks. I feel as though the days and lectures could be expanded slightly, however, there is obviously more emphasis on self-directed study.
