The main campus has student accommodation has lots of green spaces and common rooms to meet people. The library is 24/7 with showers and plenty of study rooms. A lot of buildings are new and equipment is state of the art. Subjects have world leading researchers to lecture on their specialties. Support is good and available constantly and things are handled quickly. Buses are regular and help getting around the city, which is NOT near a beach like people expect.

Lecturers are the top in their field and cover a wide variety of topics before allowing you to specialise. There are numerous grants and projects to get involved in. Staff are approachable and willing to help and equipment is high tech. You’re able to use the research vessel for your needs and contact hours are suitable and manageable.

Catered halls are cheaper than en suits and the larger rooms with shared bathrooms are also cheaper, particularly at Wessex. I’ve had silverfish since moving in and a broken door meaning anyone can enter the building (not the flat). Location is perfect and close to highfield with regular buses. Wifi is sometimes patchy but easy to fix. Sometimes single gender flats are allocated despite asking for mixed.
