Leeds is a great place to live while at university - you truly feel like you're part of a student community rather than feeling like an outsider. The facilities are great, the location of the university in relation to the city is decent, and the student life is amazing. The main criticism I'd give would be the impact of industrial action on my overall university experience. I'm not assigning blame to anyone in particular, it's just a shame that there have been so many issues with it since I came to Leeds, which has been disruptive to my learning for a number of years.

My course is mainly taught online at the moment, although it's usually been in person. I actually really like this hybrid model - it's my favourite way of learning. My main criticism would be the limited options I've had with regards to what modules I take at times, along with occasional encounters with lecturers who've been lazy and unhelpful.

CitySide was overall a great experience - I made loads of friends there, it was conveniently located near both the university and the city centre, and I always felt safe while living there. However, I cannot say that it was good value for money. I'm not too surprised by this, as it was the priciest student accommodation in Leeds at the time I lived there, but I don't think the benefits of it made up for just how expensive it was compared to James Baillie (for example).
