I love university! It is just the coolest! I am having so much fun in halls, there are always people to hang out with and besides my difficult course I don't have any problems. The best thing about the course is the placement, terrific way to get experience! If anybody is looking for a place to get adequate, professional medical training, Edinburgh uni is the place to be!

First of all, Edinburgh University is located in a beautiful city, the capital of the British country of Scotland. It has many opportunities for non-academic activities and great places for coffee and food. The University is fully modernised, with excellent facilities and amenities. The academic environment is very friendly and there is always help available for students, be it for work or mental health.

I am doing a PhD, so my degree has no courses. Still, PhD candidates are urged to audit taught Master's courses in order to fill gaps of knowledge but that is at the same time a great way to meet new students and academic staff. Students are also encouraged to attend weekly research seminars and present at student WiP seminars. The students have full control and flexibility to organise their schedule, so it is always tailored to your personal needs.

For its central location my accommodation may be a bit expensive but then I go everywhere on foot, saving money I would spend on public transport. My residence hall is unique in that it has a large communal kitchen taking up a whole floor, and when you cook there it feels like you are in Master Chef. Also, it is very multicultural so you get to meet students from all over the world.
