My experience at Sheffield Hallam University has been truly rewarding. The teaching staff are highly skilled and provide excellent academic support. The MSc Cybersecurity course offers strong practical learning opportunities. Labs are well equipped with modern tools for real-world practice. The university promotes a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Student services are efficient and always ready to assist when needed. There are many events and workshops that enhance career readiness. The campus atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming to international students. It would be great to have more internship opportunities related to cybersecurity. Overall, I’m very satisfied and proud to be a student at this university.

Best Aspects: One of the best things about my course at Sheffield Hallam is how practically focused it is. Worst Aspects: If I had to point out areas for improvement, I’d say that sometimes the timetable scheduling can be a bit uneven — with some very busy weeks followed by quiet ones. Communication about last-minute changes could also be more consistent across modules. In a few cases, I felt that assessment feedback could have been more detailed to help us understand how to improve for future assignments. Overall Impression: Overall, my experience at Sheffield Hallam has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s a university that focuses on preparing you for the real world while providing a supportive and inclusive environment. I’ve grown not only academically, but also personally — and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hands-on, career-oriented university experience.

What I Like Most: The best thing about living at The Pinnacles is the location and convenience — it’s close to campus, shops, and public transport, which makes student life much easier. My ensuite room itself is comfortable and spacious, offering privacy and a good study environment. The overall community vibe is nice too; it’s easy to meet other students and feel part of university life. What I Like Least: However, I’ve faced a few maintenance and cleanliness issues that could definitely be improved. For example, there was a window leakage problem that I reported to reception and through the MM helpdesk, but I never received a response or update. The furniture in the shared living area is quite worn out and damaged, yet it hasn’t been repaired or replaced. The cleaning in the shared kitchen also isn’t done properly — it often feels like it’s only done quickly rather than thoroughly. Overall: The Pinnacles has great potential and offers a good living space overall, but I think the maintenance response and cleaning standards need more attention to match the quality expected from a premium ensuite accommodation.
