Harper is 100% the best place to study agriculture, I am currently in my second year studying ag with animal science and so far I’ve loved every moment. Having a farm on campus allows the teaching to be very practical with opportunities to get involved with milking and lambing. I know for a fact Harper will open doors for me that no other place could allow especially through the placement year. The year out working within the agricultural industry gives the opportunity to learn and gives a comprehensive understanding of the industry. The placement year not only teaches us about agriculture but the interview process that comes with getting a new job. I can say it’s really boosted my confidence and I feel once I’ve graduated I will be ready to go out and into the real world.

I started Harper in 2021, at the beginning the course was half online and Half in person however not long after I started it changed to full time in person and has continued to be. The course is brilliant and the way it’s taught is amazing. Being able to get into the lab is an amazing opportunity

I was in catered halls in my first year and I extremely enjoyed it, the food from the cafeteria was great and they had lots of choice. I was in shared accommodated which was extremely clean with the cleaners coming in every week day. There was also plenty of parking just outside the accommodation which was very handy

Harper Adams makes it such a great place to study because it provides so much to us, especially our course, with the farm, labs, insight Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy clinic. The only thing needed to be improved is if I chose a quite night and there is meant to be no noise past 11pm or even 12am I would like it like that. But apart from that, I am very happy with the services and experience I have had so far.

The best aspect is getting hands on and being able to use the facilities provided, such as the farm, Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy clinic, and the equine unit. Having this hands on makes it more beneficial to learn if doing it yourself. One thing to improve on could be the explanation of PowerPoints. When showing a PowerPoint we want it explained not just read of the screen, so we can take more notes and we are more likely to remember what these bullet points mean.

Harris galls is a great hall as it is located near basically everything, like the cafeteria, accenda building, post office, etc… The halls kind of have average value for money, although on the 1st floor we don’t have a hob yet in the other catered accommodation they have a hob and oven which we do not have. Also in my room I have a shower head that I need to get sorted as it is very powerful, which you cannot stay in the same spot for a while as it starts to hurt.
