Cannot really fault the university from my university

Good places to study, even in Poole House around the cafe as they have sockets there to charge laptop or phone. The library is a good size so that it doesn't feel overcrowded.

Good support for students who need it - people with learning disabilities or even mental illnesses. Have Academic Support which is a department outside of your lecturers, but lecturers still supportive

Put a neutral answer as technically the city life is great, I am just not partial to it. Enough things to do and good transport.

Don't have any qualms with the accommodation at all

The Uni is in a good place, close to shops, bars, accommodation and public transport. Living near the beach is good for health and wellbeing. However the town center is deteriorating, many shops are closing and there isn't much there any more. Subject leaders are friendly and offer support when asked, they tend to act on any feedback given about what they could do better/keep doing. I wish there was more organised opportunities to socialise with people on my course. Cost of living and accommodation prices are quite high here. Library facilities are good - silent areas, bookable study rooms, water refill stations, staff to help with questions/problems and security at night.

Mostly taught in person - seminars, lectures and group discussions. Many options of units in 2nd and 3rd year - including fieldwork and lab units. Wish there was more of a personal connection and guidance between tutors in 1st and 2nd year. Lots of guidance with placements - we are told about local and further away opportunities. Funding schemes for placements are great! I could do my placement abroad due to help from the Turing scheme and Placement opportunity fund (basically paid for my whole time away).

Bournemouth is expensive, especially rent and bills near uni campus. Public transport is very good, lots of different bus routes and trains that go around the country. Breezer buses are fun! Town center is quite bare, many shops closed and more closing. High knife crime, have had to call the police a few times. Bournemouth is nicest in the summer - beaches, swimming, beach bars, cocktails. Lots of chain restaurants with good student discounts.

Overall was a brilliant accommodation, as expected from the most expensive. Never had an issue with WIFI and maintenance issues were fixed quickly by friendly staff members. Gym facilities and roof terrace were lovely. Plenty of washing machines (circuit laundry is expensive but is in most accommodations). Always felt safe with security downstairs and key fob entrance to the building. There needs to be something done about messy flatmates and some flats were completely unhygienic and it is not fair on others. Although the accommodation is amazing, the price has increased by £20 per week in 2 years, which is becoming overpriced.
