The university has a very nice feel to it since it is smaller, this makes it alot more comfortable feel more personal than a larger university. There really isn't much to criticise about the university, it has very nice staff, good facilities and a very independent and helpful student union. Though maybe one small area is that sometimes there isn't much to do in the day on campus.

The course and lectures are very interesting and entertaining, its fun to learn the content and its presented in an engaging way. I've only had some issues with placement before, mainly in the general idea that they aren't placed very well in terms of access . (Though this is understandable). Meaning locations can be difficult to get to or take alot of time to travel.

Wickham hall is a very nice building, its modern and looks very clean. The rooms themselves have very good storage and are comfortable, with the bathroom being very nice too. The kitchen we have is very spacious, with big cupboards and two fridges. It also comes with a television which helps with group activities. The cleaning staff do a good job keeping the general parts of the accomodation clean and are very friendly when spoken too.

All of the staff in every aspect of the uni that I have come across have always been polite, friendly and happy to help. As it’s a small uni it has a lovely community feel. If you are looking to join lots of societies there aren’t loads and the local bus service into town (which is down a big hill) is a bit hit and miss. But overall I’ve loved my time here!

The course was my main attraction to the university; I don’t think there are many other courses like it. I find the course content engaging and useful, particularly when out on placement where you can put theory into context. Covid altered teaching in my first year and we had mostly online learning, with some teaching live and some prerecorded. My second and third years have been taught completely in person with support from online materials which can be accessed at home as well. Lecturers, course leaders and personal tutors are friendly and approachable, always available via email if and when you have a problem or need any clarification. This course does not necessarily lead straight into a profession, however it does provide valuable theoretical knowledge and experience. Lecture and seminar rooms are modern and comfortable, however accessibility for someone with mobility problems may be an issue, particularly in older teaching buildings.

This accommodation is located on campus only a couple of minutes walk from teaching buildings. It’s fairly modern, although some wear is visible. The accommodation staff are friendly and helpful and maintenance staff are easy to contact to report any maintenance issues. The internet connection dips occasionally but is mostly fine. The security team are easy to contact in case of any problems and are friendly.
